  1. Hello Tony You mentioned the K2 a few posts above... Within The 00 Wishlist Poll, the class was Middle Polling in 2013 and again in 2014. Since then, it has steadily climbed into High Polling. In 2022 - the last Poll to run before we run again near Christmas - the class was not far from The Top 50. The J6 must surely come to market soon, but poor old 60113 has always been at the low end of the results! Can anyone explain that? We first listed the XP64 stock in 2013 where it was very low polling. We deleted it for a few years but, since relisting in 2018, it has remained very Low Polling. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  2. Hello rapidoandy The 00 Poll Team will empathise with you there...our hobby has a fair number of makers working within a fairly limited range of possible products (if they are to be profitable). Just because we submitted a document to the maker, we don't know if they have had other documents from others. Our policy is that any document we send is 'in confidence' to that maker only (unless they were to give us a direct note of 'not interested'). This may sound like we are 'submitting documents' all over the place! But we have only prepared a comparative handful over the years - some have contributed to successful outcomes; others are gathering dust in a file.🙂 Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  3. Hello Phil I'm not 'seeking medals' nor disagreeing with Combe Martin's approach, but the document we submitted to the maker was exactly as you describe. We live in hope that it will convince them.🙂 Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  4. Hello Wickham Green too You are making a broad presumption there! Brian
  5. Hello Wickham Green too Yes, indeed we did. However, I can't publish that here as it was it was part of a broader document submitted 'in good faith' to a maker. The Hugh Longworth books - BR Pre-Nationalisation Coaching Stock Volumes 1 & 2 - hold much of the detail. But bear in mind...the devil is always in the detail and research needs to be done to get things right. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  6. Hello everyone Just to put some more context into the above, we listed six different style Milk Tank Wagons and two Milk Tank Trucks in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022. Below is how they fared (number of votes in left column) : In the Top 50 235 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 3000-gall. Ladder & filler in centre GWR/SR/LMS/LNER/BR (29+ diagrams) 149 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 3000-gall. Ladder off-centre, small platform GWR/SR/LNER/BR 149 Milk Tank Truck 6-wh 20ft 6in. 4-wh Milk Road Tanker Trailer load GWR/SR/LMS/LNER High Polling 116 Milk Tank Truck 6-wh 24ft 6in. 6-wh Milk Road Tanker Trailer load, GWR/LMS/LNER (4 diagrams) 115 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 3000-gall. Ladder & filler one end, GWR (Diag.O57) 108 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 2000-gall. Ladder & filler in centre, LMS/LNER (Diag.1992 & Diag.222) Middle Polling (both were at the high end of the segment, close to High Polling) 91 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 3000-gall. Ladders each end, twin tank/compartment, GWR (3 diagrams) 86 Milk Tank Wagon 6-wh 3000-gall. Ladder & filler one end, sloping tank, BR-built (3 diagrams) The Poll Team itself has made a fairly detailed study of the subject - it has its complexities but, as noted by my good friend Combe Martin above, there are rewards for any maker. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  7. Hello Rob and everyone Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll, the Bloater Fish Van has been steadily climbing up through the ranks from Middle Polling to High Polling. In 2022 (the last Poll to run before we run again near Christmas), the van was very high up in the NPCCS category - only being beaten by six milk vehicles. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  8. Hello everyone Certainly a 'bumper bundle' from Bachmann/EFE! We wish them every success with the projects. Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll, the Bloater Fish Van has been steadily climbing up through the ranks from Middle Polling to High Polling. In 2022 (the last Poll to run before we run again near Christmas), the van was very high up in the NPCCS category - only being beaten by six milk vehicles. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  9. Hello Tony The Olney Club run a small but very friendly, varied and interesting show each year - September I think. Brian
  10. Hello Graham and everyone The YOB Crane was in The 00 Wishlist Poll up until the point that Hattons announced it in November 2018. The project then seemed to be 'mothballed' in 2020 - so we left it out of the 2022 Poll on the basis that we hadn't seen any 'official cancellation'. Up until 2018, the crane had been Middle Polling - a highly creditable result for 'modern' items (which tend to poll lower but, seemingly, sell just as well). Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  11. Hello everyone Many congratulations to Dapol on these clearly popular announcements! The 14xx was listed for the first time in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022 (the last poll to run before we run again near Christmas this year). It was in The Top 50, being the most-wanted GWR loco. The class came in at overall position 6th. The 517 has been steadily climbing the echelons. It came into High Polling - at the lower end - in 2016 and remained there in 2018. (We didn't run in 2017.) The class climbed higher in 2019 and was just four votes short of The Top 50 in 2022. We wish Dapol every success with the projects. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)

  13. Many congratulations to Ben and Revolution on this announcement. We listed the WIA Car Carrier in The 00 Wishlist Poll for the first time in 2019 and again in 2022 (the latest Poll to run before we run again this December). The vehicles were high up in Middle Polling in both - a good result for 'modern' vehicles. We wish Ben and his team every success with the project. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  14. Well done, Rapido, on this announcement! Very welcome!👍 Brian
  15. Hello Gilbert I wonder if we will ever see the 'shortie' stock in RTR. I would love some examples. All part of 'the overall scene'. Brian
  16. Hello Rob My wife and I saw the show sometime in the 1990s and it was very well done. If I recall rightly, 'tracks' went above the audience at various angles as well as on stage. Brian
  17. Hello Gilbert I just wanted to 'check in' and say very many thanks for your consistent hard work and efforts in supplying us 'PN Fans' with daily updates and evocative photos. It is much appreciated by me, even if I only comment on the odd occasion!🙂 Brian
  18. Hello Accurascale and everyone John (above) rated the vehicles at 11 out of ten - I second that emotion!🙂 From the excellent packaging - a 'work of art' in its own right! - to the vehicles themselves, it is clear that an immense amount of work has been input. My banana train is now up and running. Well done all at HQ!👍 Brian
  19. Hello everyone Many congratulations to Bachmann on this announcement and we wish them every success with the project. The Palvan has been (generally) very High Polling within The 00 Wishlist Poll and was the 'most wanted' vehicle in the Freight Stock: 1948-1963 category in 2019 and 2022 (which was the last Poll to run until we run again around Christmas this year). I can't speak for my colleagues, but I personally will have some!👍 Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  20. An excellent set of results! A dead hobby? I don't think so!🙂 Brian
  21. Hello Fran A kind soul at HQ sent me a text to say that I had ordered another item on the same order but that they had now 'split it away' so that my Bananas can be despatched. (A Banana Split?🙂) I guess I 'cancelled' with Hattons and 're-ordered' with you - hence a slight delay as I no doubt went down the queue. I have received the TMC Specials and they are just lovely! Many thanks Fran and all the Team at HQ! Brian
  22. Hello Accurascale Are ordersS still being despatched please? I haven't had any notification, Brian
  23. Hello John Certainly agree with that part of your earlier post.👍 Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022, the 6-wheel Milk Tank Truck (20ft 6in) with 4-wheel Milk Tanker Trailer Load was in The Top 50. Immediately behind that in the NPCCS category - and high up in High Polling - was the 6-wheel Milk Tank Truck (24ft 6in) with 6-wheel Milk Tanker Trailer Load. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  24. Many thanks Miss P - I mis-read my results!😳 I have placed a note on my original post to see correction here... The Dean Non-gangwayed and Gangwayed Clerestory Coaches have been High Polling and missed The Top 50 by one vote in 2022. The Dean Low Roof Coaches (4-, 6- & 8-wheel) have been Middle Polling up to 2018, then went up to High in 2019, staying there for 2022. Brian (correcting himself)
  25. Hello everyone I don't like to take threads (further) off topic but felt the following might be of interest to Johnster etc. Within The Results of The 00 Wishlist Poll, the 'Toplight' gangwayed stock and associated Diag.K22 Passenger Brake Van have regularly been either High Polling or within The Top 50. The 'Mainline & City Stock' (the very recent Dapol non-gangwayed stock) was always very Low Polling. Even given the stock's relatively restricted range (in prototype terms) we can see why it has been made, though. The Dean Clerestory 4- & 6-wheel stock has always been High Polling and missed The Top 50 by just one vote in 2022 (the last Poll to run). That is higher up than they have been in previous years. PLEASE SEE CORRECTION TO THIS ON NEXT PAGE! Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
