Just passed Dawlish heading westwards on the 10.06 from Paddington, very interesting to see the remaining repair work first hand. Dawlish town centre looked very vibrant and busy, a credit to Network Rail for getting the line open quickly to keep the fragile summer economy from slipping into the doldrums without the railway.

Hello Charlie, Accidentally stumbled into this thread and I wish I hadn't now, you're going to cost me £140 now you b*stard! The 144's were superb so I can't wait to see one of these. I want to pre-order, but I just want to check that it's definitely when they're dispatched that the money is taken? And also, any chance of a warning about one week in advance of when the money will be taken/the unit dispatched? I'd like to prepare my wallet for the agony first! Thanks in advance!

Bloody hell a 71. Thank you very much, you'll certainly be getting £130 from me! My wallet is screaming in agony, a Dapol 73, Hornby Blue Bil, DJM 71, plus I keep umm'ing and err'ing about a third EPB… PS, I claim credit for influencing your decision for when I suggested a 71 back in January in the wish-list thread. Thank you very much, can't wait!

It's operational, allegedly been sighted working since it was photted at Cottbus on accommodation bogies. Supposedly snapped up by GBRf in their never ending quest for traction.
