  1. Great images, I used to enjoy the NREA visits around Toton TMD, happy days.
  2. Very neat, thanks for sharing.
  3. Indeed, looking very good, look forward to following the progress. Could we have a little more info / pictures on the control panels?
  4. Andy, What can I say, many thanks for the very useful information. It is nice to know that the engine did indeed venture onto the Moretonhampstead Line and indeed the Ashburton Line. I will drop you a pm re: the images.
  5. Sounds plausable although why a Newton Abbott Engine would work a Plymouth Diagram I don't know.
  6. It did cross my mind that in choosing Moretonhamstead for a layout that I could run various locos that were on 'running in' turns from Newton Abbott Works on the branch.
  7. As far as I am aware BR 1608 0-6-0PT was the only one of the 16xx Class to be allocated to 83A Newton Abbott (08/50 to 02/60) can anyone please advise on what duties the locomotive would have been allocated to and also did it ever appear on any Moretonhampstead duties?
  8. Looking forward to seeing the completed model; I've seen samples of York Modelmaking at York MRE, excellant stuff.
  9. Good luck with your 'Outbuilding'. I've decided to go down the DIY route; might as well build what I want rather than what is available. The quality (abysmal) of my 10 x 8 shed was the deciding factor.
  10. David, Following your lever Frame building with interest. Your latest version is an excellant design, my only concern is the Micro switch attached to the lever may cause premature failure of the wiring due to lever movement. I wonder if you'd cnsidered something along the ines of Leslie Bevis-Smith (MERG) design where the micro switch is fixed? I'm sure that your current design could easily be adapted. regards David (Pannier Tank)
  11. Hi, David, I'm patiently waiting for the Scalefour Lever Frame to become available. I also want to detect the 'Catch handle' and I'm very interested in what you have achieved. Would it be possible to photograph your lever frame directly from the rear looking up? ANy other photographs and details much apprecaited here! Regards David
  12. Love the BR Blue era; looking forward in seeing this one develop.
  13. Hugh, What a fantastic job you have done and in such a short time scale; well done.
  14. Just received my Ultrascale Heljan Class 14 Conversion Pack; very nice
  15. Very nice; it's one of those projects that requires a 'round tuit' You've inspired me to have a go! David
  16. Looking forward to see this layout develop. regards David

Hello Captain, I'd be interested in seeing your Parkside Dundas BR 12t plywood van with Bill Bedford springing units. I have a few kits waiting for similar treatment. David
  18. I wouldn't hold your breath; the above statement has been around for a number of years. Originally there was I believe a joint venture planned between High Level Kits (14xx chassis) & David Geen (14xx Etched Body).
  19. Looks like Ultrascale will be doing a drop in replacement wheelset for the Heljan Class 14. From: David (Ultrascale) - 13 Feb 2010 (david@...) Having now had a good look over the prototype at the NVR. We will now be looking at producing a drop-in conversion pack for this model as soon as we are able, we will also be look at producing the drive crank, so this can also be supplied along with the wheels.
  20. Not mentioned in their latest mailing list I've just received.
  21. Would highly recommend getting a copy of Dave Booth's book.
  22. Hi, Just been reading your 14xx thread and notice that you will be disposing of the Airfix body. I may well be interested in purchasing it, if it's still available?

    Regards

    David
