    So the layout is back at the caravan. Latest addition is a Minerva class 14. It's a lovely model and I managed to put the headcodes in - all half numerals showing as per many of the pictures of the real thing. Though I am not pleased with my positioning of the individual numbers of the loco so will get railtec to sort out the correct digits on one transfer. A few pics below of a running session/play Paul

    Apologies if this has been answered before but since the outage iam unable to visit several topics including layout topics & prototype discussions to name but two. I get a message saying 'Rmweb cannot handle this request' I tried logging off to no avail. I mostly view on my smart phone using Samsung Internet browser and have had no issues with other sites.     There was a small feature in one of the mags (Railways Illustrated or Rail Express) last year with some one restoring 2 or three OBA/VDA type vans. Paul

    Good to go to a show again. Enjoyed my visit, and spent around £150 on various bits. I noted that despite being advertised as card payment only for entrance they were taking cash too. Paul

    I contacted Dapol first who put me in touch with DCC supplies. However I decided to return it to the retailer (Rails) who confirmed the fault and sent out a replacement, which seems OK so far running on DCC (no sound). Paul

    The four grab handles seem to mostly painted white on the real thing. Paul

    I ended up with four vans. The Railfreight orange ones need the handles picking out in white too. Might get some railtec transfers to add some variety too. Paul

    Some pictures of Dapols VEA. I was a bit taken aback by the font but on looking at Paul Bartletts excellent site it is correct. Lots of variations in lettering size to give the vans some unique identity. Paul

    This must be the only product that has gone down in price. When they first appeared a few years ago as a commission for Drax I think they were around the £80 mark. Paul

    Yes I bought a few wagons at reduced prices but that was around 4 years ago. Since then there has been a mini explosion in O gauge modelling, many are finding locos but little stock for them to pull. Paul

    My 122 finally gave up in late November. Jerky running on both a Bachmann decoder and a Dapol Imperium 3 decoder. I sent it back to Rails of Sheffield who confirmed the same issues. Today postman called with a replacement which I have fitted with a Imperium 3 decoder. Hopefully it's finally sorted. Paul

    In O Gauge I predict some duplication with stuff already announced from other manufacturers. Maybe a class 20/3? Hopefully some wagons for the Locos to pull! Paul
