You'd think with the crane parked there they could use it to fit the shed door back on. I mean, it's not like it's a crate...

I thought it was a nice looking crane, thank you!!!

Oh....sorry, that crate

I see now.....my mistake!

I thought little Muddle was in Somerset not Wales it’s the wrong side of the Bristol Channel.

Well that's what I thought but he did say he had flown up the valley?

Perhaps he had a telephoto lens?

Standard Motor Co of Coventry used to test their new cars up and down Porlock Hill, as did several motorcycle makers.

And I've tested the brakes on my car on the way down. :fie:

ISTR knowing someone who knew someone whose old car would only go up Porlock Hill backwards!

So, If it didn't make it, he was ready for a fast decent. :scared:

I’ve heard those tales too, not just Porlock Hill.  I was told that it was because reverse was the lowest gear in the box.

When I was somewhat younger than today (early 1960s) I bought new Dinky Toys and Corgi Toys models as they were introduced. I paid my customary visit to Bakers toy shop in Gillingham and asked if I could see the new Ghia. The lady serving me said, "You're in the wrong shop, dear, you need to go into the one next door." The shop next door was a fashion shop.
