Last orders for an etched chassis for the Hornby Peckett. P4 / EM

Recommended Posts

After plunging through the landscape in October, (I went trail riding for 30 years so I understand the pleasure), have you been able to make further progress?

Richard XR200

A third modified etch was ordered before December. I have just been sent an invoice, so hopefully I will get a set of etches in a few weeks time.

I have been reviewing my pencilled notes for the instructions trying to simplify them.

Yes, the body now fits!706657736_HPV3.jpg.c79ed94a018533257c593fa71be6c925.jpg

Unfortunately I forgot to refit the cylinders before soldering the lower half of the boiler barrel in place.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, taken with my mobile.

I just need to sort a suggested minor mod out and finalise the instructions.

Might you have sample at S4 North?

Hello Richard,

I am hoping to bring a sample up with me.

I should be there Saturday lunchtime and Sunday morning.

Hi Tim,

It is in my diary with no conflicting entries.

Gordon

Obviously it would be great to have a catch up with you over a coffee, matey, but if you wouldn't mind also bringing that chassis with you, because I might feel like a bit of a drool that day.

Had a really enjoyable weekend at the Scalefour North show, Wakefield.

Beer, curry, spending money at the show and talking to the demonstrators and many friends. A good selection of layouts and trade.
Dodo with my etched P4 chassis paid a visit to Rolvenden K&ESR with the managements permission late Saturday afternoon fort running trials.
A fourteen wagon train with a high percentage of white metal wagons tackling the gradients out of Rolvenden station caused some wheel slip.

Just the instructions and a third party test build to complete.

At last I am pleased to announce that the Hornby EM / P4 chassis kit has been assembled using the version 3 etch and the twelve pages of instructions with photographs.

A few tweaks to the instructions were requested otherwise I was advised all was well.

The etch along with associated rod, tube, 8ba screw and nut will cost £22.00.

Post and packing will cost a further £3.50 for signed for delivery.

The instructions if I can e-mail them to you will be Free Of Charge.

If you wish a hard copy colour printing in Bristol costs between £0.75 to £1.00 an A4 sheet!

What I would like is confirmation of definite orders along with personal contact details to be e-mailed to me at ga007d9065@blueyonder.co.uk please.

I am looking to place an order with the etchers at the end of the month, unless I get an initial tsunami of orders.

There is no need to send me any money until I have received the etches, then I will notify you requesting payment before despatch.

I will send out instructions to those who wish to see them before placing an order. Just send me a request at the above e-mail address.

Mine arrived yesterday and it looks excellent.  Instructions available on a link and, again, they look very good.

Who will be the first to get started?

And finished?
