RMweb Gold TravisM Posted August 20, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 20, 2019 I’m surprised that 91103 is still with us as I was talking to a LNER driver last week and it seems to spend more time being fixed than out on the road. He said the body and running gear are sound but the internals are shot. Maybe the intervals from 91108 are going to trade places with 103?

Trev52A
Is it true that 91111 (as it is now) still includes the mouse in its current (unique) livery? I've looked and can't find it. Trevor
60091
Newcastle ,May 1993. 91002 with it's Durham Cathedral plates covered. My photo is dated the 7th which can't be right as I've read the official naming ceremony was the 4th.

I hope this helps. 1

On the other side it's sitting on the stripe immediately to the left of the poppy below the nameplate. Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction! RMweb Gold 4630 Posted August 28, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 28, 2019 It's been reported on another forum that today is the last planned day in traffic for 91103. Apparently it's currently allocated to; 1A13 06.55 Skipton to London Kings Cross (09.58) 1D10 10.33 London Kings Cross to Leeds (12.46) 1A31 13.15 Leeds to London Kings Cross (15.29) 1D22 16.33 London Kings Cross to Leeds (18.50) 1A49 19.16 Leeds to London Kings Cross (21.29) Whether or not this is actually its last day, or a change in circumstances means that it hangs on for a few days like 91108, we'll just have to see. JamieR4489
I went through King’s Cross yesterday and saw a few class 91s. 91126 Darlington Hippodrome. There was a discussion earlier about which class 91 name is the worst and I think this one has to be one of them. 91112 and 91113. And the DVTs (82215 and 82217) at the other end of 91112 and 91113. I now regret only ever experiencing one trip Kings Cross-Grantham, but will never forget the departure from Stevenage. "Full bore" with a 91 and a HST powercar was really awesome - after BR had decided that the power cars should power instead of continuously idling. Difficult to comprehend that that was when the 91s were new - and before the Mk4s were built, and now they are being withdrawn !!! Thanks for the memories "Tiger" Class 91+43-who says bi-modes are new?!
RusselBridge2017
A vinyl good by from me, Kings Cross Saturday evening. Talking to a Heaton Driver on the 9pm Newcastle, he is looking forward to the Azumas but you cannot just "pull the circuit breaker out" to sort problems like you can on the class 91s.

RMweb Gold TravisM Posted September 28, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) 91103 and 108 are for component recovery at Bounds Green and Wabtec, Doncaster. 91117 and 120 are stopped but unofficially “in service” though unlikely to ever turn a wheel in anger again unless another member of the class comes to grief. Surprise to see 91116 coming back into service after being stopped for repair earlier this year. Edited September 28, 2019 by jools1959
Jack Mc
Class 91117 West Riding Limited, on it's last day of ECML service, is seen heading south from Doncaster for the final time working a LNER service, on Wednesday 25th September 2019. MK4 DVT 82209 leads the train South Although I tried my best to avoid people on the photos, I was amazed at how many people were stood at the North End of platforms 1/3 to see the locomotive for a final time. RMweb Gold TravisM Posted October 4, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 4, 2019 (edited) According to wnxx.com and a few railway insiders, 91117 and 120 have not been sold to Europhoenix (yet) but they are exploring the possibility of export using these pair as demonstrators. If successful, there’s a high chance that the remaining fleet will be Europe bound. I believe that 91120 is having Europhoenix vinyls applied to it at Bounds Green.
