We're aware of an error that has frustratingly crept into page 57 of the printed edition of the magazine. Apologies to readers - the correct photographs for captions 3, 4 and 5 are below...

The cut-n-shut on the Hornby 4 wheelers looks a good winter evening project. Thanks for publishing the missing images, I may shrink them down, print them and paste them in!    There was also a misplaced caption in the Fenny Stratford article, where the one for the Class 108 DMU picture was also applied to the previous picture, but that isn't a problem.

Do you know anyone with a bandsaw?  A simple jig and the cutting up could be completed in minutes!

What I want to know is, what do you do with all the spare ends?  I suppose they could be turned into platform shelters...

Someone will have told Hattons they should have done that livery. Farmer Brown.

Finally, I can cross ‘appear in BRM’ off my bucket list. (It is only my hand and phone though)

Good to see the write up on the Pendon visit as it was a brilliant day. When you factor in the free entry, lunch, tea & biscuits throughout the day, the afternoon scenery workshop, seeing behind the scenes / how it works, & access to photograph & view the vale scene with the screens down  - to me it was worth a years subscription to Gold on its own

:D

Also some very nice work by Michael Russell on those 4-wheelers. I'm impressed by how he has completely transformed the Hornby donor bodies.

Don't blame me as proof reader; I pointed the error out.

Any other errors I take responsibility for, though.

Unfortunately still wrong on my copy via Exact. (Screen grab from my I-pad a minute ago). Is there a way to locally do a forced update?

@Phil Parker I followed these steps to take the lifting roof off my Bachmann crane in step 4 to use to add as a roof to my bits of Hornby coaches in 8 as shown.

Are you now saying that that was a mistake?

Well to be fair, I did get some help from RMWebbers with this one, who were kind enough to share their knowledge with me.  This shows the power of this forum and the marvelous spirit of the members. I also would respectfully suggest that we all buy BRM, even if just occasionally,  to show our appreciation for the provision of this genuinely useful facility provided without charge. (I won't say free, because very few things in life are actually free).

I kept a lookout for the printed magazine having seen the contents on here. I think this might be the first one I’ve bought this year, ironically as it’s the first of next years edition.  Bought the magazine today at Tesco’s  bundled with Traction. I have to say I’m very impressed . I bought it because of the selection of layouts and I’m thoroughly enjoying reading the articles . The photography is superb and the articles are certainly more meaty than Model Rail . Alderford was the.layout  i was most interested in . Could have come with a layout diagram as I’d have liked to see how the terminus fits in.  However the photos are super and article really good . Bosby shows what can be accomplished by someone new to the hobby and I thoroughly enjoyed this too. I like the layout of the article . Added to that there are further layouts in the model section of Traction and I really am blessed with reading matter to work through . Interesting articles on Peters Spares and building a laser cut signal box Too. Lots of reading  to save me from the tedious election  coverage on TV!

Really well done guys . A thoroughly enjoyable edition. I did note the error with the pics in the coach article ,but no major issue for me as it’s already been dealt with on here.  It maybe that I’m finding the layouts particularly appeal to me,  but I’ll certainly keep an eye on BRM for future Éditions.

I'm not sure if this has been asked previously but is there a DVD with the magazine as I was having a quick browse in Whsmith's in Northampton station yesterday and there was no DVD's attached to the front of the magazine.

Other than that this looks to be a decent edition of BRM.

Cheers

Not on mine Colin, but it was bundled with Traction. Might be limited to Tesco’s though
