Best, unless you know the exact composition, to send via Courier. RMweb Gold Brinkly Posted March 25, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 25, 2020 I just wanted to say a big thank you to @Derek Russan for sending my taper reamers out so quickly; this has meant that I can now complete a fair few modelling projects. Thank you very much: it really is appreciated. Kind regards, Nick

sidmouth
https://tonystrainsofrugby.com/ is still trading for online and phone orders . I placed an order yesterday with Tony and I know that he like many small model shops appreciate any business we as a community can give . May be the difference between closing and keeping going especially with the loss of show revenue . Whilst in lockdown what better things could you be doing than railway modelling 26th March - Friendly postman delivered the parcel this morning . Evertonian
Just spoken with son Steve and partner Martin at Model Railway Solutions in Poole, they confirm that orders are still being taken for shop items and workshop b/board kits, helices etc. and dispatched whilst the shop is closed to the public. Please visit the website for details of stocks held and use the phone number listed there (07748 368597) instead of the usual shop contact number. Steve says they will deliver any reasonable sized order within the BH postcode area whilst the present situation exists. Thanks to all customers who are continuing to support their local model shops in these difficult trading conditions, it really is appreciated by those who depend on money in the till to support their families. Good luck and health to all, Chris Knight - on behalf of MRS 1

Guest Locomotion No. 3
Locomotion Models as part of the Science Museum Group is currently on lock down like most other organisations. The museums at York and Shildon temporarily closed on the 17th March and whilst most of us are working from home, we are unable to access our stock in order to send out any orders. Until we are given the "all clear" to return, then I can only apologise to anyone that has an order in the system and who is expecting a delivery from us. I regret that we are unable to process it for the forseeable future. We will catch up on the backlog when we can return to work. In the meantime please heed to the advice we are being given and we look forward to serving you in the future. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted March 25, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 25, 2020 3 hours ago, Phil Parker said: From Gaugemaster: In order to keep each other healthy, we are now operating heavily reduced staff levels in order to maintain a safe environment. This may mean that your orders take slightly longer to arrive as there are far fewer people than usual to process them. There are fewer people to process them because anyone who can be working from home IS now working from home. Therefore, we can no longer guarantee the next day delivery service we offer. If you select this option at check out, you will of course, go to the top of the queue (so, a premium service of sorts) but depending on how many similar orders there are already in this category, you might find that we can’t meet that delivery expectation. We are working hard (while staying safe) to get your items to you as quickly as possible. Thanks from all the Team at Gaugemaster Interesting point about next day delivery. Our fridge shut down this morning so we have ordered a smaller model (under-counter size) - delivery quoted as 'next week or you can have it tomorrow for an extra £20'. while I'm not looking to give the model railway retailers a lead on this it appears that some folk supplying white goods are cashing in. in the meanwhile our son's (unused) beer fridge has been pressed into a far wider role that its design purpose, hardly the end of the world among the problems the wider world is suffering. 2

We can be contacted by phone on 01228 514 689, and we will be here for as close to our normal hours as possible. Subject to going to the bank, or doing the essential family shopping in the city. Our online shop is still available from our website, https://candmmodels.co.uk . We will process the order have have you order ready to pick up the same day. The website orders continue as normal.....we have contracted Royal Mail for faster service to our customers so if your order is over £50 we are offering a 48hr delivery with priority service, this is available at no extra cost to you. Beat the price increase in June we will have to increase our prices (not been increased for 3 years) to cover the increase of metal and materials. Oops! Now corrected. Thank you, Barry, for pointing this out. To clarify: C&M Models will be more than happy to provide a mail order service. We will answer our phone when we are in the shop, which is not necessarily our full opening hours. Our online shop is now re-opened, but we are only able to take Paypal payments, or you can flag it as an "Advance order - payment later", and we will contact you for your payment details. Now back to those cash flows to see how much money we haven't got. Edited March 26, 2020 by 87029 1
