cbeagleowner
From looking at the pictures, it seems like it's got the cream lining as well as looking a super model. Well done Bachmann!
Guest Max Stafford
Having seen one in the flesh at 87029's shop Rich, I can absolutely guarantee that you will not be disappointed! Dave.
cbeagleowner
Hi dave - thanks for the info! Did you reckon the lining looked better then on the standard 4? I don't mind that, but it might be a touch heavy. Will a 3MT be working it's way into the kennel?
Guest Max Stafford
The lining looks good Rich. I will find room for 82029 among my small NE region stud. :-) Dave.
RMweb Gold Garry D100 Posted November 21, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2009 Got hold of one today, superb. Loads of detailing bits, usual pipes and steps. Also some more glazing, white route discs and fire irons. Great level of cab detail too.

josh993
Thanks for the pictures, I saw it at peterborough brm festival, It does look like a fantastic model but I quite Fancy the Green one

cbeagleowner
Thanks GAry - indeed those pics are good - and so is the model!
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted November 21, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2009 It does look like a fantastic model but I quite Fancy the Green one I agree, it looks like one of their best yet. These are pretty much one of my favourite steam locos and the black one fits the bill perfectly for me, it will probably be the only one I shall get (for the OO fleet) and renumber it to 82044 (seen at Bath Green Park on through workings off the S&D). I don't think I'll get a lined green one, as I've got a Kemilway one in that livery (82041).
RMweb Gold RedgateModels Posted November 21, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 21, 2009 I've got a Kemilway one in that livery (82041). A finer loco you could not wish to have
coachmann
Whereas a new model loco usually gets a fanfare of glitter on RMweb as soon as it hits the model shops, I am very suprised at the lack of excitement over the introduction of BR standard Class 3 2-6-2T. Afterall, it was one that was touted quite often on wish lists. The photos on Hattons website are okay but I wondered if anyone on here has any good track-level pictures they could show on here..............please. Larry Coach. It was in the cabinet on the Bachmann stand at Warley.I don't think that many retailers have them yet.Theres a photo on the Warley thread.I do fancy the WR lined green version myself. neal
Erm.. These aren't bad from a similar topic in the same Bachmann products 'zone', http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/3686-Bachmann-3mt-82029-br-black/ They show the level of detail inside the cab which is a step forward for Bachmann Standard locos. coachmann
Thanks very much for the link to the other thread and its pictures. They weren't posted when I last looked in. The photos are indeed useful and the model looks very neat.
RMweb Gold Garry D100 Posted November 22, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 22, 2009 Erm.. These aren't bad ........... Er thanks, I think Coachmann, let me know if you want any others but I think the ones I took show most details. Cheers. Garry
neal
Hi Garry, The Coachster started a separate thread, so I diverted him back to this one. (These are now merged) - They are good pics by the way!! - Anyway, wassit run like? N
RMweb Gold Garry D100 Posted November 22, 2009 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 22, 2009 Not had chance to run it yet. Sure it will be good though
Guest Max Stafford
Actually, it's nice to see a product make a gentle, froth-free debut. Even though I am rather anticipating the arrival of mine in the next day or two. Dave.
Bulleidnutter
I was very tempted to snap 82029 up today at Warley but I'm holding out for 82016 with the extra 2 lamp brackets! And at ??60 quid it was a very strong temptation!
