Flyingscotsmanfan
This is what I’ve spent the last couple of days building.... It’s actually been nice to model something other than railways for a change. It’s an 1:350 Aoshima kit, and I also have Thunderbird 2 in the to do pile, Thunderbird 3 is on it’s way too. To finish Thunderbird 1 I need to decal and give it some light weathering, and build the plastic launch bay diorama it comes with.
grahame
Impressive modelling http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/134328-junk/ steve That's not impressive, that's just outrageously #@@#g fantastic modelling. G
sir douglas
that is the sort of quality many scale modellers do achieve which puts even the best railway modellers far behind
Ruston
Gotha GL.VII 1/72 scale BAT project kit. The Gotha GL.VII was a high-speed tactical bomber that was built in the last months of WW1. Few reached operational service.

Ruston
Very nice model Euston impressive as always. You must have a fine collection of ww1 aircraft.Have you built anything from wingnut wings? All the best Steve I have built the Sopwith Pup and the F.E.2b. I have the S.E.5a, Sopwith Snipe and Bristol F.2b in the stash. All of the aircraft that I have posted here were built a few years ago when I took a bit of a break from railway modelling and I hope to one day get back to building the Wingnuts kits but they are so large and take up a lot of space when built. They take up much less space as kits and with Wingnuts habit of doing a run of a type and then not producing the same variant again (I don't think they have to date anyway) the kits are probably increasing in value in their boxes. Some photos of the F.E.2b.
RMweb Premium chris-shay Posted September 2, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 2, 2018 Just for a change from HO railways , I thought I’d try something in a larger scale, so here’s my rather beat up Revell 1/24 Ford F-150...
Spitfire2865
F.E.2b, one of my favourite WWI aircraft, and would love Wingnuts kit, but Im neither made of money nor skilled enough to do 1/32nd any justice.
stevejjjexcov
I would love to have the money and space to attempt the wingnut re8 and the felixstowe flying boat. I can but hope one day. Ruston the fe is quite outstanding Steve

RMweb Gold chuffinghell Posted September 3, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 3, 2018 (edited) I made this for my son in 2007 out of scrap bits of blue card Not really proper modelling I suppose, although I did scale it using BBC photos This was before a toy version came out just incase anyone thinks I was too tight to buy him one Edited September 3, 2018 by chuffinghell
Spitfire2865
Several years ago I made a TARDIS as well, though out of wood for my girlfriend. Quite scruffy by my current standards. Spent about a year procrastinating on it to finish the roof as I ended up sanding it to shape from a solid block of wood.

The Tornado's are the Italeri offerings, no extras.Bought a bunch of them when they were on offer but now the look dated when compared to the Revell new tool Ah well. 568_6811 by Georgeconna, on Flickr 568_6814 by Georgeconna, on Flickr 568_6815 by Georgeconna, on Flickr 568_6816 by Georgeconna, on Flickr 568_6818 by Georgeconna, on Flickr Edited September 6, 2018 by Georgeconna
Spitfire2865
Something I never really thought of before, how do the hard points operate on movable wing aircraft? The store needs to be facing forwards at all times.
