Will I be ordering a 16XX soon?

What do you think my answer might be?

(PS. Don't accept any answers with the word 'no' in them).

In that case would Nooo be acceptable, it is spelt quite differently and has more emphasis I think ?

Failing that I will remain,

Yours sincerely,

These Ian Kirk 'basic' wagon kits were my antidote to the snow for the last couple of days, very enjoyable to build:

Snow is falling here too; below freezing for a while so time to play trains.  This is my first go with the new regime:help:

A N Class which caused me no end of grief yesterday, while I was weathering her.

Oh and just to keep the Tank-o-philes happy...

Wife's ill so took the boys to Steam (Edward's request).  He also approved of the Class 800s which he described as luxurious! The shop was selling GWR franchise branded Top Trumps.  Fortunately the definition of GWR trains does include just about anything that ran on the GWR, WR and successors!  I got the Longworth Coaching book so everyone (apart from my wife) was happy with the shopping trip!

Whilst RMWeb has been down or quiet and during the recent cold spell I have been quite busy in the garage. I've finally cleared all the junk off my old layout boards, recovered/removed the old  track work which had probably been there for about 25 years, dismantled and  thrown away the old chipboard baseboard tops and replaced them with good plywood tops and done a bit of  loose "layout planning":

I've also started a Timber Tracks island station building kit, although this seems to have kicked off a rooftop protest probably because it isn't fixed on yet.

I just have to hope that my rheumy arthritis stays in remission for a bit  although the weather's gone a bit moist again.

I am still somewhat confused by the new format; miss the date etc on the post so not sure when it was originated.  In fact I am still confused by the whole new RM web.  :dontknow:

Good to see the Steam pictures; been a while since last visit.  Kid's got class; he obviously know a fine engine to pose by!

BTW, did it ever have a small tender in service?

Brian.

Most if not all Castles built up to 1927 or 28 were out shopped with 3500 gallon tenders,  for chapter and verse I would have to dig out the books.

Thanks, in spite of all the books and pictures I've seen, it never dawned on me that small tenders were ever behind a Castle locomotive.

Wish it was like Sunny Plymouth here as the last week or so its been snowing and we have a foot or so on the ground with o/n temps in the teens C, so its not going to melt anytime soon!

Great to see some progress David and that Timber Tracks building is rather nice.

Inspired by the quay on  Kev's Little Muddle and Boat Cove, Dawlish I've bought a very nice dinghy from Cornwall Model Boats to put on my beach tied to a mooring ring. Made from resin it's very well detailed for the money. It's actually 1/96 scale and measures 45mm long.
