Morning Andy Double Yarn........4am on a Sunday morning just getting up to go to work on the Cake run this morning from your favourite place Bala !!!!!

Know how you feel mulling layout details in the stupid '0' clock part of night . Still wrestling with the track plan for Chester Northgate and how to fit it in without looking 'contrived'

Layout looking splendid my man  :dancing: right off into the night with a load of cup cakes ' double decker; trailer load this morning and its  Bl--dy Cold  :locomotive:  :locomotive:

Last night when Jeff came around I continued to work through the Running Rota, and I did mention yesterday about the through Service from Exeter St Davis to Padstow Harbour calling at Bodmin North, Pencarne and Wadebridge. This Service is booked to arrive at 11.05 and depart at 11.17 Down to Padstow, and the return Service arrives back at Pen at 15.22 and depart at 15.37 for Exeter again.

Yesterday it was Hauled by Local Un-Rebuilt Bulleid Pacific, Bude with its long Smoke Deflectors.

Here she is arriving at Pencarne, running around its Stock and Departing.

The Loco has NO COUPLING HOOKS, just a small bar that hooks over the buffer beam, here I have just transferred it from the front of the Loco to the Tender with a small pair of pliers.

So we've finally discovered just how Bodgit builds layouts so fast. He stays awake all night. :jester:

I've been there and done that on occasions and know how frustrating it can be (not to mention tiring the following day).

I still don't know how Andy does it. He has an idea, we blink and he's modified the layout accordingly. At that rate I should have finished my layout and replaced it at least three times if I could work as quickly as Andy. It might help if I had even the slightest idea of what I'm trying to achieve and how to actually do it!

Next time you have a sleepless night Andy could you pop around here and finish my layout off? I'll give you full rein to set it out as you wish. :superman:

So this morning I decided to do a little more around the Stream, I have some ideas.

That's fine but I've run out of Mod Rock. :O

No problem, the Good Lady's away for the weekend and so a few Jay Cloths wont be missed :nono:  :nono:  :nono: , (to be fair, I did use the used ones first) . That and some neat PVA seems to work well. :sungum:  :locomotive:  :locomotive:

Then some Green Gloss Paint to seal it and give a base colour.

So, the Stream is now done with a layer of PVA, and the some BBQ Ash and fine Grey Granit and Green powders, once dry it will have a coat of DeLux Materials Realistic Water.

The area between the Steam and the Track now (NOT shown in the pics above) has a flat layer of 9mm Ply  just to give a little height above the Stream as at the front, and ready for Jeff's idea to go on there. I will have some more pics later.

Sorry to be picky Andy but isn't the stream level almost at track level?  I'm not sure that works in the real world.  Is there any way of deepening the stream bed?  You might then be able to incorporate a culvert under the tracks.

Otherwise, brilliant as ever.

Regards,

Brian.

Hi Brian, The Stream is lower than the tracks as the Cork has been cut away and with the Land between the Stream and Track higher it will form an illusion of depth, I cant go any deeper.

Question Time = Jeff has suggested an Allotment in the area between the Stream and the Track's. My Question is, are there many Allotments in Cornwall?

Just Googled it and Yes there is a Wadebridge Allotment and Garden society and also Bodmin has one as well, SO NOW PENCARNE will have one.
