RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted March 29, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 29, 2016 Stu, if you put the over large Buffs at the back of the layout they will be far away and thus very small. F'r. Edward.
Mad Carew
Great progress and particularly like the idea of the gateway. Rather more in-period than your German Car, would be some Buffs, though they don't look that overlarge to me:

runs as required
Brilliant! All you need now is a Honda generator powering a flat screen telly hung off a beobab tree beside the duka shewing live Premier league footy. dh

raymw
I reckon you need a smoke generator, fed with a mixture of butter, curry powder and dung, to try and get the smell right.

Rather more in-period than your German Car, would be some Buffs, though they don't look that overlarge to me: Many years ago (late 1950s ?) Norman Clarke of Bloxwich Walsall made a layout on/in a hollow door, with a marching military band emerging from an underpass travelling the length of the display on a moving roadway, with accompanying military sound, I believe it was "based on London" . it may have made the model press but I can't find it at the moment.

A convincing start there Stubby. Did you use two varieties of diluted dung for proper authenticity on those browns?
