There's already been training with a light engine 68 on the Hope Valley. Correct…I’m not sure of dates or how many each day etc, but light loco training runs have taken place to Cleethorpes, and a full set went recently. If proof was ever needed, you can see the sea in this pic! Pic by Corin Paul, linked from Flickr (click pic to follow). Thanks, Jack. 8

6990WitherslackHall
I've noticed that some of the 68s share names with LMS Jubilees, Class 41/42/43 Warships and Class 50s.
eastwestdivide
'Achilles' at Doncaster last Wednesday as I was waiting for my train. Sun in an unfavourable position. It was working a Cleethorpes-Manchester empties, I think another training run. Those things are loud though. When it pulled out, there was an LNER train in the platform which blocked my view, but hardly blocked the sound out at all!

Steadfast
Here's 68007 on Monday night, linked from my Flickr. 68007 'Valiant' sits in platform 1 at Westbury setting down passengers on the final leg of 'The Easter Highlander' charter, a 4 day rail cruise from Eastleigh to Scotland and back. Running as 1Z18 from Dumbarton Central back to Eastleigh, this is 499 miles into the 555 mile trip. Not bad for a phone shot. Jo

eastwestdivide
Another training run on the South TPE route last Friday, 68022 arriving in Sheffield. EMR London train in platform 8 and the refurbished Park Hill Flats in the background. Looking forward to trying the Mk5s in the Hope Valley, and hoping the suspension on the coaches won't be as niggly jiggly as the last time I rode them on the Scarborough line.

With the addition of 68027 to the list of locos I've seen, that leaves 68019 Brutus, 68026 Enterprise and 68028 Lord President to be caught.
Jack374
Today the 6K97 Toton to Crewe engineer's produced a 'Cat', 68017 running light from Crewe to Toton, missing out Bescot as is usual. I saw it in nice evening light near Castle Donington: Thanks, Jack.
