Between major updates, we will add information as we go. Now we are pleased to say that there will be another chance to see Alloa by The Scottish Region Study Group.

In what is turning out to be a bit of a theme, we are also going to be exhibiting our own OO Gauge layout depicting Laurencekirk as it was in the late 50s to the mid 60s. This means that along with Blair Atholl Towards Drumochter we will have 3 large OO Gauge models depicting real locations in Scotland.

Really looking forward to seeing Blair Atholl again. Saw it at the SECC many years ago (when we still lived up there), it was superb.

According to their site, it's been nearly 15 years since it's last outing ! wow how time flies ! the SECC may have been it's last outing, but well worth going to Perth to see it if nothing else...................

Hi all,

Yes - It's true....

Scottish Modellers will be at the show and providing a range of demonstrations as well as being the Scottish arm of DEMU.

In addition to this we will be assisting Max with the layout:

The Maxwell Colliery Loading Point by Glasgow & West of Scotland MRC

Business as usual - the usual mix of demonstrations and banter!

See you at the show.......

Great thoroughly enjoyed seeing that at Falkirk, being a waverley route n gauge modeller it couldn't be much better and it's a cracking layout to boot.

.... several more layouts added including Dubbieside by Allan Goodwillie (possibly the last chance to see this excellent P4 layout); Airthrey Park by SDEG and "Chocolate and Cream, The Schoolboys' Dream" GWR O Gauge Tinplate by Dale Smith.

Looks like we will be hitting the 42 layout mark!

You will also see that we have started adding traders now to our website. http://www.perthmrc.com/page6.htm

Intrigued by Elderslie Station by Ayr MRG. Is this based on Elderslie between Paisley and Johnstone? Do hope so .i remember an OO one from the Renfrewshire MRC highlight of model railway shows in the 70s . I note that this one is 7mm though. Looking forward to it

Hi Legend, the station buildings are based on Elderslie and are pretty accurate. The layout also has the two island platform arrangement of Elderslie but because of space restrictions there isn't enough room to show the junctions at either end.  I saw the layout at Glasgow and was very impressed with the running and the stock, anything from G&SWR to BR Blue and operated at sensible speeds too.
