RMweb Premium newbryford Posted September 29, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 29, 2017 For the next subject. How about "London". I'll start with a suitable terminus. London Euston Cheers, Mick
bingley hall
'London' could mean a whole lot of different things I would have thought within the boundaries of Greater London would be OK, but I'll play it safe and keep it closer to the centre. I do have some pics taken at East London in South Africa, but unfortunately not on the hard drive. Class 45 'Peak' 45121 waits to depart St Pancras with a Midland line express in April 1983, while a Class 317 'BedPan' EMU lurks in the background. BG John
Somewhere on the DLR ages ago No idea where this is, but it must be London as the slides either side of it on the film are of the DLR. I think it must have been taken from a DLR train.

Southernman46
Island Gardens or probably Mudchute I think - I can't match it up with my photos of Island Gardens*, but that's where there used to be a viaduct. *unless I mislabelled them! It's the former London & Blackwall Railway viaduct approach to the old DLR Island Gardens station prior building of the Lewisham extension which put the new station underground - the redundant viaduct is still there. A less redundant section of London & Blackwall viaduct near Limehouse with the City in the background ....................
