RMweb Premium newbryford Posted December 6, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 6, 2017 I've used this image before but I quite like it. IMG_1467.JPG Road-Rail Land Rover Defender going down the hill to Loch Trieg from Corrour. Another road vehicle used for rail maintenance/construction Not quite a true "road" vehicle. Looking over my back fence in 2009. How about a railway owned "proper" road vehicle next? Cheers, Mick

Liam
L&YR 18" gauge 'Wren' at the NRM York, December 2016. Apparently when in Horwich works this loco in addition to materials and equipment also carried wages.

Liam
Must have been management's wages if it needed a loco to haul them... steve Maybe, but I'm guessing the driver was carefully chosen if he was looking after the wages of most of the works' staff . . . RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted December 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 7, 2017 I guess the loco and wages had something to do with the Truck Acts hat, coat, you know the rest........
eastwestdivide
What are we on at the moment? Here's another construction shot, a wiring train on the Medway viaduct (sorry, terrible camera in gloomy conditions). Next, perhaps some ballast being dropped, or track being laid.
