Andrew P
Having been Married into a Farming Family many years ago, (well 43 years ago to be precise), I do remember the grot, rot, rust, and rats and that was on a good day. SUPERB as always. But where is the dead Rat?

RMweb Gold Popular Post Alister_G Posted July 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) I've added a lot more clutter now. @Mick Bonwick very kindly donated a disassembled and paint-stripped Land Rover to me, and I have used various bits of that to add into the scene: Thanks for looking, Al. RMweb Gold Graham T Posted July 23, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2021 That gets better and better. In a scene like this, you probably can't have too much clutter!
RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted July 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2021 Thanks Graham, No, probably not, really. When you look at photos of real barn finds, it's quite often hard to see the vehicle at all! I don't want to take it that far, I don't think, but there's some more to do. Cheers, Al. 1

RMweb Gold westerhamstation Posted July 23, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 23, 2021 Hi Al, are those tyres 650 x 16 you can't get them anywhere, they would be just the right size for my lightweight. All the best Adrian. 1

RMweb Gold Popular Post Alister_G Posted July 23, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) This evening I've made a start on the basic ground cover on the diorama, so some grass has sprouted, and I've used filler to create a surface for the yard. Here's some photos of progress: A view between the barn and cattleshed: Once the filler has dried tomorrow, I will wet the surface and smooth it off a bit more, and try and add some wheel ruts. There will be more layers of grass, and I will make a start on the road. Thanks for looking, Al. RMweb Premium AdeMoore Posted July 24, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 24, 2021 Tins of paint gone hard never to be used but still sat there by the 100! Old biscuit tins full of nuts and bolts etc you stir with a screwdriver for what you might be looking for! Pratt’s petrol can and old Gtx cans (other brands are available) used for oil, petrol or what ever. A few items I can think of in my workshop. Top draw stuff there though Al. RMweb Gold Graham T Posted July 24, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 24, 2021 Not sure how Al managed that (he probably has a gang of 1:76 spiders). But when I was using a hot glue it leaves very fine threads of glue trailing from the nozzle; they might be useable. 1
