That is funny, but must also say the figures are very convincing. Very much in the relaxed / immobile pose that I prefer, not frozen mid move.

They are from an Australian company, WestEdge 3D https://westedge3d.com.au/

They are actually printed in colour; that is exactly as I received them. I think they're a complete game changer. It's often figures that let down "realistic modelling" photos - how many on this & the other thread omit figures altogether because they scream 'model'..?

On my layout, these figures are now the most realistic items on it!!

...as for the dead moth, took me ages to model that.... 🤣🤣

It's quite owlish!

Or do we need a “Show us your surrealistic modelling” thread?

Thank you for those pictures, you have captured the atmosphere of the period perfectly. The shot of the class 24 being particularly good, looks just like the real thing.

Beautiful - the colour and finish on that is exactly how I like to imagine GW era locos modelled, not too grubby, but not entirely 'fresh out of the box' either.... just right.

Thanks! Car aerosol, but rubbed down with 2000 grit wet and dry, and a teeny polish before weathering.... it takes the 'toy' finish off.....

That is lovely, could be from one of the Ian Allen colour portfolio books. Is the Hornby six wheeler generic or based on an actual prototype...?

Thanks Rugd1022.

The Hornby 6 wheeler is a generic affair. I think it has some references to a SECR or LBSCR prototype however.

With a bit of work it scrubs up nicely.

Cheers,

“From Great Mowning to Savertry”

Great Mowning village (still under construction..) basks in the evening sun of 1962, (with my Dad’s Thames delivery van parked in front of the village shop) whilst the lights come on at twilight in nearby Savertry Town station and adjacent factory…

hope the pictures load up ok…IMG_4086.jpeg.2524036ad502bbc92b4abbf56f239c05.jpegIMG_4069.jpeg.394b5f4017afea0e432fe991dd4820f9.jpegIMG_4065.jpeg.faf59e2aeda7c3c3841eeab7c4fab410.jpeg
