Following the nose cone kit for Class 86 ‘Zebedee’ and the Prototype Mk3 bogies for the Mk2D coach, we had a request for a conversion kit for the ex WR dynamometer coach WD150192 / Test Car4.

WD150192 / Test Car4 was part of the train formation, which also included Mk2D E5625, that was hauled by E3173 ‘Zebedee’ during the 1973 high speed trails on the WCML.

This is the first test print of the interior, roof parts and replacement windows.

The parts are designed to fit the Hornby Hawksworth R4405 coach.

Drop us an email to info@niumodels.co.uk to register your interest in this kit.

The final test build of the Coastal Defence Train kit is done, and pics below are of the assembled and painted model.

The kit consists of an Armoured F4 body, 2 x Armoured Wagons, 1x 5 Plank Wagon & 1 x 3 Plank Wagon.

The kit comes complete with wheels and couplings for the wagons, and requires a Bachmann L&YR 2-4-2 donor chassis for the loco.

Price £95.00

It will be available from 23rd Jan, however, as with our other kits, there is already a waiting list.

If you're interest in this kit, please email us at info@niumodels.co.uk

Is there the possibility of an un-armoured version of the f4 body appearing? and other tank engines for RTR chassis?

Unarmoured F4 is underway, along with a C17 body. A couple other loco bodies are in development too, but more news on them once the C17 is out.

Any chance of an F5/6 to fit the Bachy 2.4.2 chassis as well?

Is the K5 conversion kit still a possibility?

Cheers from Oz,

Peter C.

I see that Hornby are producing a London Transport version of their Sentinel 0-6-0DH shunter. In LT service these locomotives always operated with a match truck to operate track circuits. These were an old coach bogie fitted with a ballast box. I can't see Hornby producing one, is there any possibility of NuiModels producing one?

Would you have any photos of the Match Truck?

Here is a picture of one after withdrawal.

The wheelbase was 7' 6" and they had fold back buffers at one end (not visible in the photograph.

They look interesting. Do you have a date and location on the photos?

Neasden 2009. The bodies were scrapped soon after that and the bogies went to the London Transport Museum as spares. Note that they were asymmetric, they were longer at the buffer end.

Just a quick note to say thanks for the excellent service!

I had an issue with one of the prints I received late last year (and hasn't had chance to look at until recently) and emailed about it at around 2200 last Saturday night. Thought (reasonably) that if maybe get a reply on the Monday, but no, within 5 minutes I had a response and a promise of a replacement in the post on the Monday! It arrived during the week and is spot on, so thanks very much for that, it's much appreciated!

A quality product, and a quality service!

Cheers

J

Just taken delivery of my Zebedee package, very impressed with the moulding and overall delivery .. roof box and glazing unexpected. This is the second time I’ve used NIU .. great attention to detail with quality as a brand being most apparent.
