Are these only available through Revolution, cannot find them anywhere else.

Hi,

I assume they’ll be like other models that once the order book has closed they will then open them up to retailers, that’s how it seems to have worked for the IPA and HOA wagons, but I could be wrong as it doesn’t seem to follow a pattern.

I’m sure the Revolution guys will clarify in due course.

Interesting that many of these in 2 and 4mm are using my photos downloaded from the site - they have the copyright on them so not even paid 85p. The TUAs appeared to use a lot of my photos for inspiration as well. I would expect an ex Journalist to understand copyright as other manufacturer's do.

Bit surprised by this comment as it seems to me that Revolution have been meticulous in quoting the source of photos and referencing the author's name and the permission. Been back through this topic and cannot find any in it at all.

Looking at https://revolutiontrains.com/projects/wagons/borail-mullet-parr-super-tench-masterclass/ all the photographs seem to state 'photo courtesy of XXX'.  The only exception is the last one, which was obviously taken by a member of Revolution Trains staff of one of their employees.  Where are the images that don't respect copyright?

The bauxite looks too "milk chocolatey"

These were a much flatter brown - the sheen on the paintwork makes them look "wrong".

This is what I mean .............. Check B946080 in PB's collection

Hello all,

A gentle reminder that midnight tonight (September 30th) is the deadline for pre-orders on the N gauge Borails, Mullets, Parrs and Super Tenches.

The models will be available from retailers after they have been produced (expected to be Q1 next year but, as ever, that is not a surefire date) for those who have missed out but of course the prices will be higher as they will include a trade margin.

cheers

Ben A.

Missed this... looking good and encouraging that the Railfreight red will be corrected, I hope the same for the yellow that's apparently Dutch?

Hi there,

We are happy with the shade of yellow.

cheers

Hi Ben,

Having had a quick look on Paul's site, I concede that the yellow is closer than I thought to some wagons he has photographs of, but it does seem quite bright.

However, it is definitely not Dutch yellow as advertised:

Hello Rich,

I was wrong - I checked and the yellow on the sample isn't the specified colour and is too lemony.

When these wagons go into production in the New Year we will ensure the colour is corrected.

cheers

Ben A.

Thanks for checking Ben, great to hear. I've got a few packs on order so looking forward to seeing them with the correct shades.

Cheers

Seeing the latest photo (below) on the deadline thread - the bauxite is definitely still too "milk chocolately" - might be the flash brightness of the photo. The wheels look too large too - these were fitted with 2' 8" dia (= 11mm in 00) rather than standard 3' 1 1/2" ones (13mm in 00).

The 00 samples looked great on the stand at Warley at the weekend. Especially the super tench with the mesh sides!

Loved looking at the super trench sample as have it on pre-order. Great detailed model, cant wait for the production models to arrive.

The trench section was bowed up slightly in the middle but assumed this is just pre-production and will be much flatter/level once in production.
