Llanyblod - the end of steam in Wales

A big tree springs to mind.  Perhaps better, an overgrown bank leading up to the bridge, with bushes, brambles, and so on?

That's how @chuffinghellmanaged it on Warren Branch, adding a tall but not over mature tree at the top of the bank, disguising both bridge abutment and the road that goes nowhere in one.

Happy to report both me and the layout are still in one piece.

I have created a job list to get to ‘the end’ of Llanyblod and this will be chipped away at alongside the more long term project Middleton Top. More work on the bridge has commenced in the form of a DAS road surface and I’m now waiting for that to dry. I may even get round to making the removable lid and lighting unit this week.

Job list:

#1. French polish girlfriend's coffee table.

Now I've typed that, it just sounds a bit dodgy.

Dead cert for brownie points then....

Is that "I'm keeping it zipped" or the gimp mask from Pulp Fiction?

Just a thought...

That looks very natural now, Rob's advice was bang on there. You only have to look at the overbridges on Little Muddle and Warren Branch to name just two to see how a clump of trees in that position can disguise the edge of the world.

Added some more grass to the loop today. Just doing a little bit at a time till I get to a point where it looks over grown but not too much.
The image below illustrates the vibe but I’m not sure it’s wise to make my main running line quite so unkempt!
