Ooh, this will be interesting, Stu! I must admit, I had to do a double-take in the first photo. Took me a few seconds to realise that the far left point wasn't laid yet - if it was, I think you'd have a fair few derailments! Anyway, I love the buildings. The SMS platform shelter is a lovely kit - I recently put one together and I have to say it was such a simple but rewarding process. Did you use the provided 'felt roof', or make your own?

I look forward to seeing how this progresses. You never know, I might even make it down to SWAG...

Yes, only 2 points laid so far, and the next two will be fun trying to get the track jointed and the wire-in-tube in place too.

I have an old GEM lever frame to use, still debating whether to run each pair of cross-over points off one lever or not.

As yet the shelter is roofless. I might use some masking tape on card, to give more of a textured finish.

Hopefully you can get to Taunton in April, @NHY 581 Sheepbloke has put together an excellent line up.

That's a good shout with the masking tape. I used tissue paper on mine which seemed to work well, but you do have be careful when applying watered-down PVA to stick it on, as the provided card base obviously turns into a banana. Easily bent back, though. I will absolutely try my best to come down to Taunton, but I believe Narrow Gauge South is the day before where I am due to take Sandy Shores. On top of that, we have our village steam show that weekend. No exhibitions for two years and suddenly there are three on the same weekend - typical! I have seen the line up, and it is mighty impressive, as always. SWAG is quite possibly the friendliest exhibition you can hope to attend!

In place of the yellow shop front above, I'll be adding a low relief shop to act as a view blocker for the track exit.

This is a tweaked SMS LX464 kit - I've set the main door back about 6mm.

It would appear a WHR loco has been acquired,  purely for clearance/gauging issues.

It has not been in steam, as yet, something to do with incomplete trackwork and track-circuit wiring challenges.
