As an aside, I posted above, you can get the original FNA's running with FNA'D's.

If anyone is trying to get one for a reasonable price the Class 37 Group have a number on their Ebay pages (as it is for charity hopefully no prob posting here)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165588973727

Ideal time to stock up whilst we wait for the D's.

These things really look the part. Are the sliding hoods able to open on these?

Lovely job.

Cheers Trailrage

The sliding hoods are fixed in a closed position at the request of DRS and this was a condition of allowing us to reproduce the wagon in model form.

Hello Mike B Thanks for the response, These things look so Good in Detail that it really did look like it would open! No disappointment though As I have one on Pre order for My little Boy.

They've now docked at Southampton Docks, and should be with the Revolution lads by end of next week. Exciting news!

Most people are excited over their Carolines, but I'm sat here waiting for my flask 🤪

With the FNA-Ds currently making their way off of the ship and through customs, we just thought we'd remind everyone that they can still be ordered directly from us via our website shop, at the superb value for money price of just £32.95 each!

Available as single packs, you can order them here: https://revolutiontrains.com/product-category/pre-order/oogauge/fna-d-nuclear-flask-carrier-oo-4mm/

Any news on the FNA-D wagons?

wondered when we might expect them to be delivered?

Or will they be after all Caroline orders sorted?

Per the website, they will be shipping out shortly. Remember that there are a lot of new arrivals to be packed and shipped at the moment !

With a bit of luck (and thanks to others of the Deadmans Lane team) we'll be recreating this at Wakefield exhibition on Sep30/Oct1.

A very smart looking wagon. Noticeably lighter than Accurascale's offering but the detail is top notch. I haven't compared then side by side yet.

Ed

It will be interesting to see how they compare.

I went with the Revolution one for two reasons.

1. I preferred the look of the EP in terms of the etchings and details.

2. The biggest reason, it could be bought individually. I only want one.

I've ordered two of these. They look great.

I've also got a pack of the accurascale version, and as good as they are in detail, they are overly heavy, not very free rolling and the tail lamp is slightly annoying as it wouldn't even be present on many moves.

By offering the FNA-D as a single wagon pack, it provides a win win situation. Firstly, you get a highly detailed wagon for just £32.95, and secondly, you can run the older style FNA-D with our newer version, allowing you to model the change over period if you so wish.

Thanks Mick, that first picture is useful as it shows not only the old and new FNA's but also 2 early 68 liveries with DRS blue on the back with 68027.

The new FNA-Ds were introduced in 2019 2014 (see posts below) so "FNA 2019" or "FNA 2020" as a flickr search brings up a few pics, as well as the likes of 6K73 and 6C22 with the years.

But beware - some of the pics that the search reveals may be NSFW.

I thought they were introduced from 2014-2019? I hope they were because I am modelling 2018.

Hi Folks, the FNA-D that we’ve produced is the latest version and they were built in 2014. Hope that helps.

For clarity, I should’ve said that while they were built in 2014, they were built in three batches (which is what @newbryford was alluding to) with the last of them built in 2019. Dates below:

2014

2016

2018-2019

I didn't remember that they were that early in service

edit - actually I should have realised that as I've often referred to this pic - showing the initial 10 being delivered in 2014!

(I was blinded by the 8-move in 2019!)

DOH!
