Well it arrive when it arrives. I personally have far more important things to worry and stress about than when it turns up. The Accurascale crew have done the best they can so far but sometimes things happen.  It just gives me the chance to store up more drool for when it does arrive!  Its been 37 years in the making so a few more months isn't really a problem is it.

Thanks again to all involved in making this gorgeous beast.

Cheers Trailrage

I can imagine that in an alternate universe, where the class 89 was widely adopted, one being painted like a badger and perhaps named "The Wildlife Trusts"

I followed the animal name idea of Avocet with the trust as the plaque.

Need to measure up the plates to get the replacement the right size.

Dear Bachmann

I like your Mark 1 coaches but can you retool the roof and paint in RTC livery for a very nice approximation of Lab 6 Prometheus.

I want to recreate this photo here

And I would run it with your HDST too

How much would it cost to crowdfund a Mark 1 roof? (I am not bothered about the generator grilles at the back or the cables at the end but if you could tool up one side as well.....that would be great)

Having trawled through Flickr this evening I'm thinking the answer is no, but I'll ask the RMWeb hive mind in the hope of a yes. Did the class 89 ever run with the refurbished Mk4s with the red doors? I have bought a rake of the Hornby Mk4s for a fairly decent price at Warley, and these are red door versions of course. I don't think I have the energy to paint all the doors and redo the roof of the DVT, assuming I can find a good paint match. So I think it'll have to be Rule 1 and extend the service life of the 89.
