RMweb Premium Keith Addenbrooke Posted November 3, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 3, 2023 An idle thought: is it a coincidence that Peco launched exactly 8 variants of the wagon - the precise number needed for a classic Inglenook shunting puzzle (per Alan Wright’s original)? Just a thought - given CJ Freezer’s promotion of the Inglenook concept. Have a good weekend, Keith. (PS: to any charge of unfounded speculation - Guilty!) 2

Now that sounds like a viable theory :) Perfect scale for a mini inglenook too. A TTinglenook? 120nook? InglenTTk?

It's just that the solebars and (bits of the) headstocks have to be built as part of the body, which for many wagons will be closer to prototype construction anyway.

I agree. This seems to be intelligent design by Peco. Without cheap labour you need to make assembly simpler.

Ideally some chassis kits first which could be used with 3D printed and laser cut body kits from various sources.
Steamport Southport Posted Monday at 17:39 Share Posted Monday at 17:39 More likely they will copy what they are doing in the revamped N Gauge range as they'll have all the CADs and research. Vanfit, 16 Ton mineral, Iron Ore tippler and 5 plank. Jason

Jason A Vanfit and a 16 ton mineral would certainly be a good start, preferably with a choice of numbers, and it would be good if they sold them in packs of 3 or more. Stefen1988 Posted Tuesday at 04:43 Share Posted Tuesday at 04:43 An alternative Brake Van Model to that from Hornby would be also nice.
