Welcome to the 2023 season of RHTT workings.

GBRF* have taken over my local RHTT (Stowmarket based) services for 2023 - to this end they have been using their ex DRS 57 for driver training for a few days this past week

* which sadly brings an end to the DRS guys and the 37s.

I'm pretty sure that at least one of the RHTT services that run from Totton Yard has started too, with 3S81 running its full circuit today - 25th September 2023 - through Hampshire and Dorset.

Here it is, operated by MPV DR98927/977, during its first of two reversals at Eastleigh.

A pleasant surprise to find four class 69s allocated to Broxbourne's RHTT moves instead of the bog-standard 66s used in previous years.  Today I was able to see half the class in operation.  69006 leads 69004 at Leytonstone High Road on their way to Shoeburyness (3S70) this morning, while 69003 was leading 69002 through Hackney Downs (3S81) this afternoon.

I wonder why the makeup of this train is different to the others? The others posted so far have 5 tanks and one jetting module spread over the two wagons. This one though seems to only have 3 tanks and additional modules.

Additional modules are Sandite.

3J11 from Carlisle runs as 3 flats with one jetting module and 8 tanks as it covers such a long distance.
