Moderators AY Mod Posted November 29, 2023 Moderators Share Posted November 29, 2023 Details of the layouts that you can expect to see in February can be found here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/shows/doncaster-2024/ giving information on admission, times and traders attending. It's a good balanced line-up with some great feature layouts; first of all David Hampson and Keith Harrison's O gauge 'Alexandra Sidings', a split level layout focussing on banger blue diesels of the North-West. Pre-book your tickets for early entry and savings.

Administrators SteveCole Posted January 26 Administrators Share Posted January 26 (edited) Only two weeks (and a bit) until we open the doors to The Festival of British Railway Modelling. We're really proud of the layout line-up and trade mix at this year's show. Remember to book your tickets in advance to guarantee early entry at 9.30am (pay on the day visitors enter at 10am). All visitors will also get a free copy of a 'Best of BRM' magazine (worth £3.99) and showguide. Click here for more information. And, click here to book your tickets! RMweb Gold 97406 Posted January 28 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 28 (edited) Looking forward to this and what a great lineup of layouts. One good thing I’ve noticed is the ability to purchase tickets almost right up until the start of the event. This is good for me as I won’t know which day I can attend until the last moment. Can’t wait! Edited January 28 by 97406

RMweb Gold bourneagain Posted February 6 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 6 It would be useful if there was a copy of the floor plan with a list of layouts and traders that could be printed off so I and others could plan our day.

kirtleypete
I have just had an e-mail from Emma at Warners saying that parking will be on 'hardstanding with overflow on grass'. On grass - in this weather - seriously?!! We'll be parking in town and catching the shuttle bus. Anyone parking on the grass will probably still be there for next year's show. Michael Hodgson
You're saying the going at Doncaster this year is soft 1
LNERandBR
In my experience of visiting the FoBRM at Doncaster for many years the 'grass' has never been a problem. I've certainly never seen anyone stuck. The grass areas of the car park are actually quite small, the main drives being of hardcore. I seem to think it's also got that plastic octagonal matting in the grass. Very much looking forward to the weekend as the Boston MRS are exhibiting with Tytton Hall Yard: 3
kirtleypete
I have seen someone stuck - me last year and I was far from the only one. Grass parking in February is asking for trouble.
