Our photographer is geting a bit tired, after all he has been here since 7.15am, and even his magic camera is struggling with the light. He has also entered a time warp, as this photo must have been taken several months later. Someone has been brave in sending this so far from home on the 7.21 KX stopper. It has managed to get here without failing though. I bet the poor driver was sitting in the cab listening very closely to the engine note, with fingers and toes crossed! Peterborough's shed foreman will get rid of this south as fast as possible. Light engine move? Edited June 4, 2021 by Sandhole

RMweb Gold BMacdermott Posted June 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) Hello everyone In advance of our move towards Freight vehicles in forthcoming Mini-Polls Nos.4 & 5 (Mondays 7 & 14 June), I thought it might be useful ‘to take stock’ of where we are in respect of current RTR. LNER4479
Thanks Brian, That's a really interesting list, set out like that. Fancy the LMS being the poor relation- how the mighty are fallen! To clarify - are some of those releases re-runs of existing mouldings? In some cases, quite ancient?(!) Be interesting to know how many of those are completely new vehicles? RMweb Premium 31A Posted June 5, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 5, 2021 What a long list! But under "Other", would it be appropriate to include the LNER / BR "Trout" 4 wheel ballast hopper from Hornby, unless I have missed it? Also, Hornby have in recent years produced completely new GW and SR (LSWR) Brake Vans.
RMweb Gold BMacdermott Posted June 5, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 5, 2021 Thanks LNER4479 The greater majority are 'complete new tooling'. The policy of the old 'main' 00 Wishlist Poll was that we would list any item that hadn't had completely new tooling. Hence, we listed such as the LNER V2 even though it had had a new chassis. As I have often said, it is impossible to be 'deadly accurate' with descriptions. There are times when Wagon X gets announced, then gets cancelled, then gets re-announced and then eventually appears as something related but slightly different!
