eastwestdivide
Photoshop cheating again, over and under at the new Joan Croft flyover: Must try again with a tripod, as I wasn't standing in exactly the same spot for the two photos to be combined, and had to edit out a wire that didn't join up. On the plus side, the straight line of the top of the new bridge made it fairly easy to join the two.
Peter Kazmierczak
To me, the above has a certain "surreal" quality to it. For some reason (possibly because I've just finished reading "War of the Worlds"), it looks like some post-invasion scene.
eastwestdivide
To me, the above has a certain "surreal" quality to it. For some reason (possibly because I've just finished reading "War of the Worlds"), it looks like some post-invasion scene. The light had changed between the two shots, maybe that's it? The sky above belongs to the Freightliner train, and the bridge and everything below are from the other shot.

Peter Kazmierczak
Cross Country "Voyagers" seem to be having their unit numbers put in a more easy to read location now. The shadow cast by the station canopy echoes the "X logo" of Cross Country, on the side of the unit 221122 at Bournemouth this afternoon.

eastwestdivide
Some gloomy marshes from a couple of weeks back: BR corporate signage still in use: And creativity comes in many forms, including how to flag down one of the handful of trains per day at a request stop while taking a series of photos: (Berney Arms area, if you hadn't already guessed, with the sun coming out just before we got on the train after a misty and gloomy walk from Great Yarmouth)
