RMweb Gold tetsudofan Posted December 22, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 22, 2010 Martin As i said in my post my 37 took over a month to come after taking the payment Just hope that was a one off Unfortunately, for the moment, I do not think that this is a one-off. Model Rail readers may have noticed that the Model Rail Shop has moved from the great guys at Cambridge Media Services to a specialist fullfillment organisation called COMAG Forward (according to the address on the label of the Landrover which arrived today). If you read the Model Rail Shop adverts in Model Rail you will see that any orders placed with the previous guys have not been transferred to the new organisation. I phoned the new organisation (and they are open to 9.30pm weekday evenings -covered by my evening calls package to re-order the items previously ordered - this was a long drawn out procedure involving the manual listing of the items I had ordered. One of the items I've ordered is the DRS Cl.20. On the second call I made to the new shop I was told that they have a record of my Class 20 order but it was not on their live system.....but they assured me that they have my order and that I would get the model.....although a couple of weeks have passed my card has still not been charged. At the moment the system does not exude confidence. My concerns have already been expressed to Model Rail (with the assistance of one of our well-known forum members ). The fact that I've just got my landrover means that the "new" system is working.....but it takes time. Fingers crossed that they get the pre-order system up and running as soon as possible. Below is the update re Escort Coaches "Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience you have been caused in receiving your order. The DRS Class 20 stock has just been delivered and any outstanding orders will be received shortly. Unfortunately the Mk2 Escort Coaches stock has been delayed and we are still awaiting further deliveries. We do hope to despatch the outstanding orders within the next 28 working days. I would like to assure you that this is not the normal service we wish to portray and that this delay is totally out of our control. However we do understand the unnecessary inconvenience that this is causing our customers and hope to rectify it as soon as possible. I am truly sorry for the frustration this has caused but do hope the information given helps with your enquiry."

martin_l_jones
Just had a lengthy conversation with a young girl (Chloe) in the office at Model Rail My payment of £64.17 for the Class 20 was taken on 10th December, didn't even notice it. She said, just wait for 28 days and hopefully you'll receive it. What was dissapointing is that she said she couldn't access orders to check what I have on order as its all locked away in a secure file

dibber25
Just had a look at. History lesson instead of description and no mension of it being a limited edition. But as you say the real thing and climbing up in price and i bet it go's past £70 (quote) Really not sure what any of this means. Had a look at what history lesson? All the MR Bachmann limited editions are limited editions. What's climbing up in price? The VAT goes up to 20% on January 5. Anything SOLD (ie money taken) before that will be at the old VAT rate. Anything SOLD after January 5 HAS to carry VAT at the new rate. It isn't our choice - the government increased the VAT rate that we all have to pay. Prices might be rounded by a few pence one way or the other but that's all. My understanding was that the DRS 20 arrived at COMAG just before Christmas. Some orders will have gone out before Christmas and others will go once work restarts after the break as I understand it. Posts like this - incomprehensible as it is - seem just to be aimed at making a problem where there is none. Sorry - annoyed person on holiday now going to resume building his layout. chris bales
Chris I was talking about the sellers description on EBay for the one he or she is selling. Not the ones from COMAG of witch i have one on order. And by price i ment will bid past the price you can order one for from Model Rail. Very sorry to upset you my friend. with that i will stay out of it Kindest Regards Chris
NickL2008
£70 for a limited edition class 20 is a good price when you think though that the normal one retails for around £20 cheaper, sadly the VAT increase will be comnig into force like it or not.. Im hoping that priceswont go up too much although I shouldnt think so at a 3% increase? has anyone got any pics of one in the flesh? NL
