RMweb Premium PMP Posted September 23, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 23, 2010 Andy has kindly allowed Brian Hanson of Shawplan to announce the launch of his new company blog here. The blog has been built as a addition to the existing web site which is undergoing a significant re-work. The blog will allow an easy and fast format to show customers new products, work in progress, and which shows the company is attending. There is also a twitter feed which you can subscribe to. Updates will be regular and there may be opportunities if time allows, to put small 'show and tell' pages on some of the products. http://shawplan.wordpress.com/ Many thanks for taking the time out to read this message. 87023Velocity
Very impressed with the glazing on the Vitrains 47 along with the roof fan/grill set. Think I shall be buying some of these at the Wigan show in December if they are available. Going to use some of the extreme etchings windscreens and grills for my Vitrains 37's aswell, going to be an expensive shopping list at Wigan. RMweb Premium PMP Posted January 11, 2011 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 11, 2011 Any idea how one goes about ordering stuff? I'm not sure whether it's from the blog or old site. In the second paragraph, first page of the blog, and mentioned throughout it, Don’t forget to use the Shawplan links to the website on the right hand side of the page here for contact and ordering details. Click the Shawplan link on the right hand side of the blog, and it'll take you to their website for ordering. hth

craigwelsh
I must be being dense or something (nothing new there), but where can i find the laserglaze range on the main website? Alternately, are the 08 & 47 sets available at Leamington this weekend? Apart from the details of the ownership changes there hasn't really been any update to the online catalogue while Brian developed the range and attended shows. If you want to know in advance if particular laserglaze can be brought to a show it may be worth phoning him in advance. I know he ran out of cl37 glazing at Wigan and hopefully that is restocked now too. Note that the 08 only had the square wood door cab variant done and not the steel round window. I only noted when i started fitting a set to the latter and hopefully Brian can do that variant soon.

RMweb Premium PMP Posted February 4, 2011 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 4, 2011 Hopefully we'll see the GWR Railcar Flushglaze, fingers crossed Funnily enough myself and Brian were looking at that one on Wednesday. To do it justice requires a lot of work, as it's not as simple as it first appears.

RMweb Premium PMP Posted February 5, 2011 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted February 5, 2011 On the model, the Cab side window posts are missing, it would be nice if something could be done in that area. The window frames were the areas that we felt needed attention, not just the cab 'quarterlights', comparing the Barking Bill pic with the Lima body. James, re headboards I'm not sure, I just help with the blog admin. For queries best thing to do is contact the boss, http://www.shawplan.com/index.htm he'll be pleased to hear from you. brgds pmp
