Thanks Peter.

I think I'll try and get to speak to Mr Flowers as soon as I can and see if they're still available. I know Brian is extremely busy at the moment, but it would be great if he'd pick up a Peak body one day soon and think, "Hmmmn".

Cheers.

Sean.

He's certainly looked at the top of one and produced a rather nice fan and grille.

I think many people think those are the big detailing change to make on a diesel (its certainly normally the easiest) so I think Brian has concentrated on those for commercial return first which makes sense.

I'll remember to ask on the weekend about the nose.

Just a quick news flash

Shawplan is at Manchester show this weekend.

Added to the range are the 2mm/N Gauge extreme etchings for the Bachman Graham Farish class 37, and work in progress on some glasing for the 4mm GWR Toad and LMS design 20T brakevans by Bachmann and Hornby respectively.

More details as ever on the blog

http://shawplan.wordpress.com/

Re the Bachmann 44/45/46 Brian is doing components for the locomotive types, already available are the roof and fan grilles, and cab side handrails. Laser glasing is programmed too as are bogie detailing components. I believe the nose side grilles are also in line for development in due course.

Nice! I'll hang off for now then as I can feel another "plethora of peaks" coming on if the nose grills are in the pipeline.....

Cheers.

Sean.

Sounds good. Will this include some small galzing pieces for the ducket windows on the LMS vehicle?

Stanier brake Yes 4 ducket size pieces, 8 long and thin, two larger ones. I'll show it when I find the body to stick them in. Not released generally quite yet though I don't think..

Mk1 Suburban glazing is very very good for anyone with some of these and wanting decent windows. They fit in really nicely on my pair too from the outside.

PMP showed a good picture of a finished glazed example http://shawplan.file...08/img_6116.jpg but I thought i'd do a before and after to show the difference. Not the best pictures but you get the idea, they'll need aligning properly, the apertures painting and fixing with Klear when ready but they pushed out of the fret and fitted in really easily :).

Note they don't fit the longer Replica suburbans though, they need another pack designing with shallower corners to the fixed windows and wider door windows..

57xx Note that the glazing done for this fits the recently released examples with separate handrails on the modern chassis. It does NOT fit the older Replica and Bachmann split chassis examples.. The windows on those are smaller as i've just checked..

Same poor photos of the new window on the left and part of the old strip on the right. The diffraction of the original windows is quite apparent and they really aren't as good as those on the old Replica body actually.

Bachmann Suburbans, see attached image for before and after.

Pannier windows are as Craig above comments specifically for the current Bachmann offering in both high and low cab versions. We find that even though apearatures should be the same size for left and right hand variations on some models, that the accuracy of the laser cutting means that any slight variation in the original moulding may mean we have to supply and label handed components.

GWR/BR Toad / LMS/BR 20t Brake Vans

I have today collected the test cuts for both the above models, the glazing is being tested on the bodies of the following models.

Bachmann (Nee Mainline) GWR/BR Toad. These have initially had to be cut left and right handed (see Pannier comments above).

LMS/BR 20t Brake Van Originally Airfix, but also released by Dapol and currently in the Hornby range.

After test fitting we anticipate these will be available for Peterborough later this month.

Laserglaze news

Hornby 08/09 glazing ex stock at Warley now has both cab door window variants included. The Bachmann 08/09 variants hopefully by year end.

Don't forget the GWR Pannier and brake van glazing for your Bachmann Toads and Hornby LMS/BR 20t brake vans too. One or two interesting items in tooling on the Heritage glazing front, including some of the latest RTR releases being considered.

We're at Warley NEC show stand C12, see you there!

Hi chaps,

Picked up the usual couple of nameplates and detailing items at Warley and also elsewhere bought a Lima Mk2b TSO (madness I know!) - I'm hoping to upgrade it and was wondering if this is a model that is likely to get the Laserglaze treatment at some point?

Cheers,

Bruce

Today we are pleased to announce the release of the 4mm scale Laserglaze window kit for the Bachmann 08. Currently this kit will provide glasing for one locomotive of the later build batches of the 08's. We are anticipating tooling the small cabside window with square corner door windows in the near future. These variations will be added to the fret once tooled.

Brian, a full list of your LazerGlaze products in one place would be wonderful. Any chance of packs for the Bachmann Bulleid coaches being on your list soon? I have shed loads of the coaches in my loft needing your magic product!

Ditto! :-)

Unnoficial observation

I know Brian has looked closely at the Bullieds, this week when I picked up the test shots above for fitting we looked at the Bullieds, one thing to bear in mind is the production of them may not be as simple as first appears. They are very fimly on his 'to do soon' list.
