RMweb Premium Popular Post New Haven Neil Posted October 17, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted October 17, 2019 Some lovely words from friends above, especially from one who has a similar burden to bear. We will always remember the dignity and courage you both faced this awful disease with, John. RIP, Sandy. Somewhat maudlin tonight. Ends. 11 9

Popular Post Coombe Barton
I don't have the energy to respond to your individual posts at the moment. I just would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of you for your messages. They mean one helluva lot. Popular Post brianusa
Every so often this tragedy of life happens to us all. The death of our dearest wife whom we may have known and loved for many years and shared a life together is surely the greatest tragedy of all. It is a lonely loss no matter how many friends and relatives are near to share the grief but in the end they will all go home to be with their families, their work and get on with their lives. As eventually those that are left to carry on by themselves will have to. This will be the hardest time of all and if you have a god, hopefully it will mean some consolation at this very sad time and give you the strength to carry on with your life. RMweb Premium New Haven Neil Posted October 17, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 17, 2019 A unfortunately familiar feel to that John, I was with my father when he passed away, exactly the same. I should say a book would be very helpful for anyone in the same position, to help understand 'how it is'. Look after yourself. 13

RMweb Gold Popular Post Stubby47 Posted October 17, 2019 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted October 17, 2019 John, absolutely the blog should become a book. If I may, can I suggest you continue writing your blog, as you document and catalogue Sandy's work. Even if just for your own sake, I think it will help. 5 13 1

Sandy's work involves the non-conformist meeting house of Kerrier and Penwith, some 300 of them. I'm thinking that it may be deposited at Gwennap, at the Wesley Chapel in Bristol, at Oxford Brookes University Methodist collection or the one in Manchester. Or all of them. Many of the photos show decay over the years. One of the most elusive was the one on Market Jew Street, Penzance. We only discovered it by going round the back of Primark (?) 18

One good home could be the Wesley Historical Society collection at Huddersfield University. That's where my late fathers archive is deposited. The area Sandy studied was only relatively small, but I think she's got every site there
