RMweb Premium Popular Post New Haven Neil Posted November 25, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 25, 2021 Morning, 6c feels like 2 allegedly. Got to change the chassis (as opposed to the domestic) battery on the van, as it is showing signs of distress - 10 years old so not bad. I've had the replacement for a fortnight so had better get on with it. Then take it for a drive, Mrs H is off today so we will drive all the way south for a romantic picnic. I know how to treat a gurl. Well she'll treat me technically, as I can't drive it far due to the gammy clutch foot. 1

RMweb Premium Popular Post Barry O Posted November 25, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 25, 2021 Great news.. my Sister has escaped from Grantham Hospital. Hopefully she is on the mend and may even know what has been the problem. Bad news, her indoors has to have a not nice procedure on Monday as the GP she saw pressed the "Cancer Alert" button. Swift work for the procedure..7 days from the GP seeing her. She is not a happy bunny at the moment. Baz

He can't go for his next Eye test in hospital, because they won't take him without the flu and booster jabs,, The above site didn't work for me either.. I live on the coast of Norfolk not that far from Great Yarmouth, it gave me options of Kings Lynn or Sheffield.. I had to wait for the local surgery to ring us up to get a booster jab appointment. 1 1
simontaylor484
Morning all Bit chilly here a thick frost rime on the grass and shed roofs when I looked out the bedroom window so I went outside a little early to fire up the car and defrost it. The rear window was iced but the windscreen was clear again sheltered by the house. The heated rear screen comes on automatically when I fired the engine up. I had a few minutes in the car to myself listening to Scala radio Verdi Hebrew chorus then Brian Wilson on the piano with Wouldnt it be nice.

RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted November 25, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2021 Good morning everyone A chilly start to the day here in England’s northwest, it’s currently 2C and there is frost on the roof of both the shed and workshop. This morning I have a visit from a independent financial adviser with regard to my second pension, he’s due about 10:30 so I’d better get all the paperwork organised before hand. I sorted it all out the other day and left it on the bookcase, so it should take long. Best get cracking, back later. Brian
tigerburnie
Morning we have 4 degrees and a bit of sun and a lot of cloud, sleet and snow forecast tonight and over the weekend, it's already snowing on the hills, if the roads are clear I might go hill walking one day. Take care all and keep warm.

Because all those places are EXACTLY like outback Australia and their budgies will have no problems finding large flocks of other budgies without which they will not survive, not to mention food sources. I doubt a single bird lasted a week poor little bu99ers. Mind you, ring necked parakeets were released / escaped in London sometime in the early 70s. They gradually spread round south London and are now expanding their range quite rapidly. Certainly they no longer seem to fly in big flocks from our area to a cemetery near Hither Green as the sun sets in order to roost. They seem to have adopted other roosts. I think they have now expanded out of SE England. 10
Popular Post The Lurker
Greetings all from LBG where it is sunny and slightly warmer than yesterday. There was no frost on the rear windscreen on the car this morning despite how clear it was. Year end is....slow. Group finance are marshalling lots of reasons why other people should do their work. I hate office politics but I will have to stick my oar in at some stage or I will find this team dealing with it. Fortunately the boss is on the same wavelength. Not a lot else to report at present. Popular Post AndrewC
Moaning all (just) from a chilly but sunny SW11. First time working away from home in 30 months. Feels a bit strange to be honest. Wandered through the house of fun but didn't see our correspondent. Perhaps he'd already departed home to the hill of strawberries. We've had a lot more Bexley parakeets about this autumn than normal. Generally they stay a bit further south towards Danson Park. Job hunting now stepped up a gear with a couple of potential companies showing interest. Other than that, fork all to say. Enjoy the day. 13
RMweb Gold Tony_S Posted November 25, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2021 (edited) The parakeet flocks have been seen in Essex, but not in our area yet. Also Muntjac have been seen in areas to the east and west of us. Perhaps the land is too open without enough trees. Lots of squirrels though. RMweb Premium Popular Post 45156 Posted November 25, 2021 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted November 25, 2021 (edited) Afternoon All With apologies for absence due to a massive loss of mojo. Still no confirmed details on our move due to delays with our lender. Hopefully their "advisor" will ring today, as he promised to do. Yesterday our TV box went off, and wouldn't come on again - couldn't even get it to boot up to do a factory reset. Luckily we had another box in the house, and even more luckily I was able to find it. So spent a fun filled two hours setting it up, then trying to remeber what series recordings were on the old one. I missed the Hornby programme (probably among others) - we have lost loads of recordings now - about 150 hours worth - but that's just the way it goes. Then our bedside CD/casette player went wrong, so we couldn't listen to our talking CDs as we like to do at night - of course, we have already packed most of the casettes. Got the spare in from the garage to find that it had gone phut also. Ordered a new one off eBay. as Argos had none in stock. Then just for fun tried the old one to find that it was now reading CDs properly again - but will still let the new one be delivered, as it does appear that this sort of thing is rapidly dying out - very few available, and online prices starting to creep up - always a sign of potential rarity. Flavio - great to hear that there is an effective treatement for your pooch's ailment. Back sometime.
