bugs bunny
Many thanks for all the kind comments, I will post a track plan one day Diesels part 2 Class 66....You dont see many pics of these on Warren Lane.......Sheds aren't one of my favourites We have 3 Bachmann 66's Freightliner 66532 and GBRf 66701,66702 There is a story about this engine, We had Warren Lane up in Maggie's garage one Saturday night, every thing was running perfect so we left it up, with 66532 and 86605 sitting in the fiddle yard. Early on Sunday morning I got a call from Maggie, It had been raining heavily and the garage roof had leaked When I got over it was a complete disaster the fiddle yard was a lake and the track was up the whole thing was a total loss, and right in the middle was 66532 soaked, after some TLC she survived and continues to run perfect . That day will always be remembered as BLACK SUNDAY we got over it but I dont know what would have happened if one of the scenic boards had been destroyed

bugs bunny
Sorry to hear about your leak - is the track reusable? Simon Hi Simon Thanks for your concern but dont worry this happened back in July, two months before our first show. We rebuilt the fiddle yard in about two weeks and made the show deadline........ bugs bunny
Hi Again Excellent photos with great realism, love the photos... but would love to see more... Do you have a Track Plan... Have a Great New Year Jamie Hi Jamie It's not great but you get the idea, Trains arrive on the up line, 86 90 Electrics crossover into receiving, they automatically uncouple (Kadees) O8 shunters then pull the train up into the headshunt and then push into either 1,2 or 3 roads under the crane. once loaded/unloaded a diesel 37,47,66 runs in light, couples up and the train departs via down line. All the Engines only have one coupling so they only work one way the Electrics IN and Diesels OUT is the usual practice Kind regards Alan
trisonic
I would call it simple and effective! If I'm ever over the pond, in town - downtown Shenfield that is - at the same time as the Mid Essex Show can you quickly train me as an op? Best wishes for the New Year! Pete. bugs bunny
Its a DRS Tractor Fest This is what i've been doing over the holiday 37038 and 37607 I got these off ebay some time ago but I have not had the time to do anything with them, until the holiday 37038 37038 is a Bachmann, I had some issues with the middle axle of each bogie which I have sorted I fitted a Loksound chip and 40 x 20 speaker in the fuel tanks then a heavy weathering with the airbrush. She looks and sounds great...........but I would say that and 37607 37607 is a Lima model I have stripped out the motor and fitted Kadee's both ends, so she will be double headed with 37038 ..........they look good together I hope to put another speaker in her very soon and maybe a bit more detail on the ends. Double Headed into the yard....notice the FLA's in the background Pulling the Sugarliner into Receiving And finally 37038 with 37229 Happy New Year from Alan and Maggie

pitbull1845
I popped into Soton Maritime this morning, no DRS 37's just the normal sheds and shunters unfortunately. Cracking pictures and attention to detail Bugs.. I'm now considering getting some freightliner stock, although I'm back in the mid 90's so not sure what wagons were about then... Time for some research me thinks.. Cheers Scott

Cheers Scott Hi Scott You are a bit limited with the current models available FEA (Dapol) delivered between 2003-2007 KQA (Dapol) delivered between 1997-1998 FLA (Realtrack) delivered 2004 The early 5 car sets arrived1990/91 but are completely different IKA (Dapol) delivered between 1998-2004 (1999 for Freightliner) FIA (Backmann) You need to check that one but not used by Freightliner What you really need is some FSA/FTA 1991-93 or the earlier FFA/FGA. I hope that helps Kind regards Alan

pitbull1845
Thanks for the info Alan, I had a look at the freightliner website earlier too which has some brief info on wagon types used. I'm glad you mentioned about the Realtrack FLA's, I had no idea they were different in the earlier years, I saw them on the Freightliner site list and thought excellent but I guess they are not to be. I shall await the KFA's. Many thanks for your help. Scott

bugs bunny
Probably the most important Engine on Warren Lane and Maggies favourite All the train movements involve this engine, she pulls all trains from receiving and then pushes them into the yard. I have spent hours watching 08585 Vicky doing the same thing at Tilbury 08530 is a Hornby with a Bachmann chip and Kadee coupling on the front Vicky at Tilbury A very clean Terry at Felixstowe North
