DanielB
I'd love to just see a video camera set up to pick up the as much of the layout as possible, then see an ops session. This is one of my inspirational layouts that have made me think outside the box. A curved yard is so much more interesting than a straight one so often seen on layouts these days. Leon
Thanks guys. With the fiddle yards holding 4 lines I have been restricted with running trains as I have no room to store them. I am now in the process of adding more space above the fiddle yards to hold the less used stock such as the Inter City rake of coaching stock, this will free up a siding to run trains to and from, I can also store a lot of he locomotives. The lighting will be improved in time. The shelves will be on the MDF back board. Sound locos 37415 and 37898 are used for gauging along with some coaching stock. Not very exciting but necessary to get the layout more operational - not really ran trains in the 4 yrs it's been in building process.

Leon
Good evening all, fixed the storage shelves above the main fiddle yard this evening as a place to store stock. As a result the yard and depot have less wagons and locos which I feel looks more realistic. A short rake of fuel TTA's have been moved to the depot and a brace of stored Royal Mail coaches are left on the depot headshunt. Next job more lighting above the fiddle yard.

Leon
Great work Leon storage looks good David Thanks David, still a bit rough and needs finishing but you get the idea,, the layout is now a lot clearer so I am able to access more and run trains. I still have 4 sidings in the other "Dock" fiddle yard to use also. Still got a lot to do to improve the layout lots of unfinished area's such as the motorway bridges and backscenes. Two projects still on the workbench include the 37/7 Trainload Metals conversion. I have filled the side windows, now need to paint up, renumber and add "Tremorfa Stelworks" plates etc. The second it the repaint of a Mainline 09 shunter into Rail Blue, I have re-sprayed body, now need BR arrows, numbers etc and a weathering. Kind regards Edited January 23, 2015 by Leon
