RMweb Gold SHMD Posted December 24, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 24, 2016 I've just 'signed up' for this... . It's totally free - ie no need to enter any card or bank details. It just automatically stops with you not needing to do anything to stop it. Just enter :- XMAS-GIFT-EN ...an Email address and your home address for the 1 edition of the printed version. I thought this would be a great way of testing 'my devices' for BRM! Only 2 days to sign up though. Have a Merry Xmas everyone. Kev.
mikeyh
Hawkins are having a good sale Lots of half price Hornby including the Gresley collection and green class 71's http://www.hawkin.com/model-shop/Hornby/sort-by/price/sort-direction/desc Thanks for the tip - I wouldn't have thought of looking at Hawkins Bazar. I tried to order 2 of an item but would only let me put 1 in the basket so I assume I had the last one. Order placed yesterday lunch time and delivered lunch time today - 5 minutes into the 1 hour delivery slot they texted! Great price and great service from HB and UKMail. Well pleased. Cheers, Mike

They seem to have some nice projects. I used to have ETI (Electronics Today International) for years and years as well as Wireless World. Both sadly gone forever! I tried the code on the website and it says it is invalid? https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-gb/suite Try this link and then the code. It seems pretty generic... ..but beyond that they must have put in some 'restrictions'. Kev.

It seems pretty generic... ..but beyond that they must have put in some 'restrictions'. Kev. That just asks me to log into an aol email account (which I don't have one of), so won't work i suspect. I subscribed to the elektor newsletter and got a random (seemingly) gift for doing so (several pdfs).
RMweb Gold SHMD Posted December 25, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 25, 2016 hmm.. sorry Kelly, it seems that despite the general nature of the links and addresses, the offer must be aimed directly at me. Kev.

It does seem to be so. However, not a total loss as the free ebooks I got would have been over £28 apparently.

RMweb Gold unravelled Posted December 26, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 26, 2016 Re the Elektor offer. I signed up for the pdf downloads yesterday, and today got an email about the free subscription, so it has worked out OK. Oddly it didn't accept the password I set up yesterday so I had to start a new account. Thanks for the original info. Dave

RMweb Gold ruggedpeak Posted December 27, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 27, 2016 Invicta have some good bargains at the moment, including the Bachmann NSE translator coach pack and the Bachmann Royal Mail NEA coach pack- both for £29.99. http://www.invictamodelrail.com/oo-gauge-bargains-127-c.asp I've just bought the NEA coach pack, almost a shame I paid full whack for the translator pack when it came out! (No connection, etc.) Their books bargain pages are worth a look as well.

6959
Hawkins have updated the web site with out of stock on nearly everything - the one quality item of rolling stock available is R4684 Collett corridor 3rd class BR crimson & cream @ £19.99 http://www.hawkin.com/model-shop/Hornby/Hornby-r4684-br-collett-coach-corridor-3rd-crimson-and-cream Just bought two from this link. Quarryscapes
Just bought two from this link. Thanks It's a shame their website appears to be based on the same software as RMWebs own buy and sell, and is of equally poor function. Railroad Scotsman for £40 too, seems a good deal to me!
