Probably cat vomit. In my experience, when you sit in something unidentified and unpleasant it's pretty much always cat vomit.

Hi Folks,

I didn't realise that Mr Harley and Mr Davidson were quite so well acquainted !

Gibbo.

Well, it was 1903, when such things were less publicised ;-).

It appears to be on the wrong side of the street to me, at least based on the majority of the cars parked there; especially if the doors are on the opposite side of the bus from the driver. Or someone just set the sign there for a gag shot!

Sorry to put a dampener on it.

But it's a temporary bus stop whilst the normal one is getting cleaned or repaired.

Sounds ok to me. Is that a two-way street?

Looks like a street in a residential area in a major city such as Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, etc.

It'll be two way, but it won't have a lot of traffic. The bus stop will probably be for smallish buses going to the local shopping area, usually on a circular route. What we think of as pensioners/shoppers buses rather than commuters.

Boring facts about the bus stop.

It's in the teeming metropolis of Howden, East Riding Of Yorkshire (pop 4428) on a 2 way street outside the council offices. It appeared about a week ago.

In Norwich on st Faiths road they've put up a temporary bus stop sign as the normal bus stop is closed due to road works..... The temporary bus stop sign is attached to the next bus stop along under that sign ... bus stop..
