highpeak
Pondering this a bit, for the Maine Central it would have to be a GP7. Boiler-equipped it could be used for both passenger and freight work. Since my proposed layout also features the Boston and Maine, I would have to ask the perpetrator of this outrage for my B-15 Mogul back and run a mixed train. (Since I realise that many people won't know what a B-15 is, I offer this site http://sites.google.com/site/bostonandmainerailroad/home/boston-maine-steam-locomotives Interesting exercise in selection. Raffles
For balance, I'd have to keep my Hornby Britannia (the latest one, they have can have the tender-drive Clive of India) and my HJ 47 that I renumbered to D1693. I would try and hide my HJ Hymek from them though.
Horsetan
I'd have to go Continental and P87/HO-pur for my surviving pair: - DB Br.01 "Neubaukessel" 4-6-2 - SBB Re460, in one of the advertising liveries - something like "DRS 3" or "Zugkraft Aargau"
RMweb Premium Gwiwer Posted January 22, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 22, 2012 A class 13 counts as one locomotive. For some reason the coupled pairs of 03s were not given a unique number and are counted as two locomotives. Moving right along. Western class 52 : extremely temtped. Crompton class 33 : extremely tempted. Warship class 42 : extremely tempted. If you're absolutely sure I can only keep two and not include at least one of these three then it shall be the class 41 "Warship" in green syp and split box alongside an as-built Bulleid "West Country" light Pacific in late BR livery. If I had to live with just two locos they would serve for light and heavy passenger, vans and freight and cover most of may areas of significant interest. Pennine MC
A class 13 counts as one locomotive. For some reason the coupled pairs of 03s were not given a unique number and are counted as two locomotives. Because they were seen as semi-permanent, the pairings could have changed or the locos reverted to solo use (which IIRC they did). OTOH hacking a cab off something kinda shows you mean it

Xerces Fobe2
I would choose Class 22 as I have found memories of them in the West Country and at Reading and also the Class 40 a sweet whistling giant from a bygone age! XF

Baby Deltic
Having heard 46045 in action, I would say that would be a dead cert (the Peaks are my favourite loco's). The other would be a Baby Deltic.

Rivercider
From my current fleet, my blue Bachy class 08 would have to handle all local trips as well as shunting. On the passenger side for my decaying urban branch my blue Hornby SPC will suffice, any bigger would be overkill anyway. cheers
bluex5
A V2 and a Peppercorn A1. Diesel would have to be Falcon and a class 24.

RMweb Premium Physicsman Posted January 22, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 22, 2012 Almost as difficult to choose as it is to predict what Hornby executives will do next! I'll go for a 37/0 and a Peppercorn A2. Jeff
