"Collectors will be able to identify the model"  from another David Bailey - not

You know, people pay a lot of extra money for cameras that take photos like this? Many years of selling c**p are needed to be able to afford one.

I can identify it all right - enough to make an instant 'not interested' decision.

He has a collection of other gems - all photographed with equal skill - including some of those wretched 'part work' efforts a( £9.99!) and this masterpiece :O

What is more it is not even the Ratio kit -it is the plastic sprues from an Airfix LYR Pug steam loco!

Tony

I hadn't noticed this, but I would have removed the original price label from the box!

To be fair, a fiver a pop for 70s Rovex locos is relatively cheap by many standards, assuming they run. Quite why anyone would want 70s Rovex locos remains a mystery to me but the price tags I sometimes see suggest that someone is expected to and quite badly at that.

Dunno, Il Grifone. I've seen those trucks with a locomotive on the back for a lot more in the shops.

If one takes off the railway modelling hat I can imagine many a child being really pleased with it. My boy was a few years ago, now he's seven he's a little more discerning!

Apparently the Caledonian Railway had horny industrials (from another seller who not only finds spelling difficult but who can't seem to dispatch items once sold.....)

Afraid I didn't catch up with this until it closed:

loco I  think is a  factory weathered  version because it looks to good to be anything else

nr mint condition  please note it is a tender drive loco

so will need a tender

So mint = needs some major components?

I wouldn't know about the lorry, but it seems as crude as the loco. The locos used to retail around £3 and I have seen them in Pound Shops.

EDIT  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-TEAMSTERZ-1-60-SCALE-HEAVY-ENGINE-TRANSPORTER-TRAILER-KIDS-CHILDREN-TOYS-/360605338899?pt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&var=&hash=item53f5c0cd13

Agreed the Tri-ang/Hornby locos would be reasonable at £4.99, but this is the starting price.

Why is it that when newbie's put in rubbish descriptions in the top line that scupper any chance of a decent sale price, it's never something I want?  (Seller has score of zero and is on a learning curve)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-oo-/231026808726?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item35ca455796

"virgin train in a used condition"   ?????  (Correct punctuation is important!)

For once at least Rare is a correct description.

I have never seen any thing else similar.

So hard to look for the correct spelling of Hornby!

Well, yes, but if they subsequently go for silly money, that's the market's fault and not the seller's.
