Grovenor
I was wondering what there was in the Trix Twin range that merited rewheeling. You lost me there, where did Trix Twin come into it? Regards
RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted August 15, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 15, 2015 I didn't realise bidding on Linka stuff would be competitive (ok only £41 at time of posting but am quite surprised) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Linka-System-Trial-Set-Moulds-Plus-Metal-Doors-and-Windows-/111738554012?hash=item1a0423069c
Il Grifone
You lost me there, where did Trix Twin come into it? Regards There are at least three sets of Trix wheels amid all the plastic kit rubbish. They presumably have been removed from something.

This stuff has always sold well (ie expensive), but I've never understood why. (I have some somewhere, but making anything remotely realistic out of it is near impossible - all those joints to hide.) RMweb Premium Coryton Posted August 16, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 16, 2015 Ahh. it is a "phototype"....does that mean you only get the photo? c you later? Well so far as I know Lion wasn't exactly the prototype for the class 47, though it had a similar (same?) Sulzer engine, and certainly looks like a lot like a 47. But it was built by BRCW, not Brush.

A bit of a clue as to the loco NOT being an LMS black 5 is the clear "R" on the tender, and a suggestion of the "E" before it...LNER... andytrains
He has also got this as a D47. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POSTCARD-RP-LNER-CLASS-D47-LOCO-NO-247-LNER-2741-BR-62741-THE-BLANKNEY-/191659843886?hash=item2c9fd1212e When a D47 is an ex-GNSR 4-4-0. Does not seem to know his arssee from his elbow. Obviously going off the wrong LNER numbering system. Edited August 16, 2015 by andytrains

RMweb Premium kevinlms Posted August 19, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 19, 2015 A nice model - professionally ruined! Must be factory weathered then as. Listed as used as they have been ran on a rolling road once, but other than that, they have been kept in their boxes.
