You're evidently supposed to look up the "R" numbers to save him photographing the models. £50 seems a bit steep for an old Triang shorty DMU, I suppose its priced on the rarity of having the optional centre coach. Or perhaps the value of a Triang motor bogie. If you can forgo the centre coach, there's a Triang R.157/R.158 pair ending in a bit over 3 days, currently at £14.51. That one has proper pictures too! The delivery carges are comparable. 1

My other favourite part is: 'BITS FALLING OFF RECOMMEND BUY A TUBE OF GLUE' I thought that half the old APTs sold on ebay were missing the pantograph. Quite true, in fact I've seen a new old stock pantograph in the one year only promotional Hornby genuine spare parts box ( with misprint and yellow card insert) run to £7,450 and 63 bids... But, you can't fake patina, even if you get your six year old to stuff the coach insides with mashed potato and bury the trailer car in the garden. Where are you going to get those genuine 1982 purple nylon carpet threads to wind round the axles? Can you dig up granny and get her to smoke sixty Capstan full strength near it for a decade? Of course not. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to invest in a classic collectors item which can only go up in value. Bequeath it to your family, safe in the knowledge that they won't be interested in anything but your home and the house clearance totters will give them £4 if you're lucky. Then put it on eBay for £500..... 2

Michael Hodgson
I suppose I'm being intolerant again. I'm really not very good with morons, though of course I realise some people have limited faculties and I ought to make allowances. There's an awful lot of cr*p on the internet where the public have unfetterd access. I can only wish the best of luck to Elon Musk if his Twitter bid goes ahead! 2

No, I think that idiot intolerance is a diagnosable condition. I don't think that it's a bad thing either, plus there's plenty of evidence of causal factors in the human environment.
