After his success with a "raft' of Maunsells, now this!!!

Victor Meldrew, come on down!

There is something rather piscean odour-wise about the bids on his items methinks?

Cheers from Oz,

Peter C.

He seems to sell quite a few "rafts" of coaches.  Something for the boat trains maybe?

Is the high price possibly because they're rarer in Oz and the cost is still less than postage there from the UK?

No, its because they're the much rarer LMS coaches.

Just as well its 'motor driven', as the tender seems to have got lost!

Have we had anyone who's simultaneously enrolled at both the David Bailey and Mary Shelley Schools of Modelling?  Clearly he's determined to graduate from both this summer.

Confession time.

I fell prey to the if it's on eBay it must be a bargain - paid 20% over the list price for something and what's worse it was to Horsetan of this parish :jester:

But, not all bad as the postage charges are much less so still happy days.

'How can I describe my emotions at this catastrophe, or how delineate the pile of scrap that with such infinite pains and care I had endeavoured to form? Its wheels weren't even in proportion, and I had selected its features as beautiful. Beautiful! Great God! The horrendous green bodywork scarcely covered the work of whitemetal, frames and gears beneath; its handrails were of a brilliant silver, if badly painted over the edge; the buffer beam of a shiny red; but these luxuriances only formed a more horrid contrast with the half-demolished cab, the interior of which seemed almost of the same colour as the damaged chassis on which it was set, its shrivelled appearance and short cab steps.' :jester:

(with apologies to Mary Shelley)

The standard of photography makes it a bit difficult to judge as well.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unboxed-professionally-reworked-Bachmann-TTA-wagon-to-BP-LPG-wagon/372369958429?hash=item56b2faa61d:g:bDEAAOSwAspbSw3O

maybe i should buy some cheap Bachmann TTA at the toy fairs for £8.00 - £10.00 and do some of these  , major profit !

As it is "professionally" reworked, wouldn't you have thought he would have turned the wagon over and done something about the underframe?

Mike.

I suspect this person had multiple TGV sets so that he could make a longer train. Having spare power cars why not experiment? Although totally unprototypical it does look good.

PS I won't be bidding :)
