And now for something COMPLETELY different.... Railway Modelling.

I think that's the name of the game....

Some views of Lune Fell - still as white as snow. Still no G***s!

It's certainly getting there, but you need to get some different colours on it. Mix some paint into your next mix!

I know you lot will laugh at me, but I'm still chasing suppliers of old fashioned lint, which i will apply like hanging basket liner..... Is dyed cotton wool used for bushes by anyone?

Daft Andy G

(I'm blaming that shot of Mankini Jeff!)

Baron Bodgit and Polly will be along later with their own unique take on all things Lunester. But you're right Andy - one of the best exchanges in a while. I haven't laughed so much since I read Jason's post at the start of the Lounge.

To be honest, I'm getting sick of the sight of plaster. I'm wearing gloves and my fingers are still cracking up - like the rest of me!!

I think I'll build the embankment support tomorrow, maybe cover it in mod-roc. Then clear up a bit and have a play with the locos.

Sorry I can't help with the lint issue, Andy.

Have you tried chemists. If not there, a friendly nurse or Paramedic might be able to help

Sounds like you need some to cover your hands before you put your gloves on.... ;-}

I can understand the need to do something else, It's pretty boring work.....

Chemists only stock stuff that is non fluffy, I've spoken to a trade supplier, and am awaiting an answer. I've a mate who is a paramedic, never thought of asking him!

It's also costing a fortune - spent £100 on plaster bandage so far! Nevermind, that's only the cost of one loco...and the hills are eternal!

I might do a bit more woodwork and start on the last hillside frame. That one is complicated by it's location, and contains two tunnels in different places.

Off to brother's now for coffee. I dread to think what you lot will have come up with when I return. You could always move to the Lounge and wake that up!

You were right Duncan, waxing is a must, those straps must be rubbing terrible, poor Jeff.

Scott,

I'm watching the Test Match from Wellington, NZ. They stated that Wellington is ranked as the windiest city in the world. They said that Perth was in the top ten. Is it breezy out your way?

If you go back a page or so, Andy, you'll see what hilarity your comment about me wearing shorts caused!!

Very, very funny couple of hours - and you missed it!

Hi Jeff,

Re: Farm buildings, that was the only one I took a photo of I'm afraid.

Worrying about reaching 10,000 pages............I think the 'Mankini-gate' discussion could run and run, we need info e.g. vital statistics - fake or real tan - airbrush applied yes/no. Now you have a positively tropical environment perhaps a few pictures.........erm! maybe not then.

Cheers

Mike

Jeff,

HAVE YOU NOTICED,

I have refrained from mentioning Mankinis :nono:

Sorry, but I've decided to relocate KL into the Arctic Circle.

Too cold for grass and a permanent snow coating.

Saves on Grassmasters, Fibres, flock etc. Ideal.

No need for body hair either..... :yahoo:  :yahoo:  :yahoo:  :yahoo:

Anyway, with that silliness I'll make that my last word on the dreaded swimwear/vegetation....

I'll go and pay a last visit to the bunker for the evening and do a bit of planning.

Btw Andy - the Glenfinick plan and your scenic ideas look excellent.

You are right and it's taken me a good hour to read through and then go through again to add my thoughts. :scratchhead:
