georgeT
Hello Rob, i bought two white metal wagons from Ray (tender) a while back l think the odd shaped wagon is some sort of salt wagon, l painted it up and added some numbers etc etc all non-descript, but it looks OK...

georgeT
Thanks Andy, Yes is is very heavy belly full of lead, she will be doing a lot of shunting, l tried to get away with just 4 plunger pick ups but she would'nt have it so l have fitted another 2 so thats all 6 wheels with plungers... Thanks George, it's certainly very cleanly cast, at a guess I would day that it's probably from a Majestic models kit. In my experience they were/are some of the cleanest castings that I have had the pleasure of putting together.

Hi Rob, Both the kits from Ray were already built so l don't know how hard / easy they were to construct but as you say the details are very nice.... Rob Pulham
Had a nice day out at the O gauge show at Leigh today saw a few friends and could not resist another J94 kit... Hi George, It's a shame that I didn't know that you were going we could have arranged to meet up. I had a great day (or morning to be fair but we went back to a friend's house which is quite close and I spent the afternoon admiring his scratch built O gauge locos. I had reserved a part built Gresley 01 loco on the Guild E&T stand but when I had a look, it was a really crude scratch build so I left it and went to my fall back position a Connoisseur J50 instead..
brossard
Dave Jones is supposed to be doing a J94 in 0 gauge but there's no word when it will be out. From pictures and text these seem to be only used for shunting so probably not suitable for me. Interesting looking loco though. John
georgeT
Thanks Guys, A meet up with RM webbers is always good and helps to put faces to names etc etc, l too was looking at buying a nice kit built M7, but after close inspection l declined so l bought the J94, should be fun and a challenge...
