I suspect they are more S scale

But that's not real woeld - it's a 12":1ft scale model - all far too shiny to be even a re-creation
railsquid
I'm not a fan of snow scenes, but this one is quite nicely done, though the trees do, as so often, look like they'd be more at home on a Christmas cake. Also, the photo is marred by the shadow on the backscene, and despite weathering attention to the undercarriage, the loco's body is still in that fresh, just-out-of-the-box shine. 143 596 bei Hinterzarten 14.01.95 by Bahnbilder von W. + H. Yeah, 2 mistakes when lettering that van; putting waterslide transfers on a matt surface, and not bothering to varnish over them afterwards. 🙄😉 Won't last long with some handling on & off the layout. 🤦♂️ 2 2

A very poor representation of the station, there's a track missing! I always hoped for a 1-10 Peak between here and Washwood Heath. Shows how long it is since I was here. RMweb Premium Ian Morgan Posted October 1, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 1, 2023 I could not work out which thread to post this photo in. Should it be 'When the real thing looks like a model'? Or on the otherhand, should it be in the 'Realistic Modelling' thread? Perhaps it could go in a 'Prototype' thread? I don't know. Maybe this would help: Today at the Royal Victoria Country Park near Southampton.

Schoolboy error by the modeller there. ;-) He is acting as lookout for the man actually on the ladder. Mind you H&S wasn't as strictly observed at that end of BTM in the past. I am sorry that the 'Art Director' has gone a bit mad with the airbrush and the steam and smoke effects in this snap from Dad's albums. It does show you can run locos from other regions on a very Western layout.

Ah but, I only saw about a dozen locos, or so, in "green". (And that was before the "celebrity" and "famous" locos were the only ones remaining in green. It was corporate blue in "BLOCK CAPITALS" for me - all the way. ...just everyone's memories... I'ts a cracking photo, though, and is an absolute credit to all those who have achieved such a line up. It's an "impressive" photo, for me, for the work involved in saving them, the logistics involved in gathering them, and the photos themselves.
