In light of the remarks about the poor choice of transfers and lack of prototypical research etc on this Heljan Class 37, think on this.... When models that have been subjected to poor 'uplifting' to come up for sale, the buyer usually makes sure the price reflects the condition (and this obviously a very minor and easily corrected defect), so I hope the previous owner was happy with the transaction. The level of detail, and standard of printing, is as good as it gets in my opinion. However, as seems to be increasingly the case, a superb model let down by iffy assembly and qc issues. Both of these examples have missing and detached parts aplenty, and flaws to the paintwork with glue marks. Such a shame. The numbers were very difficult to remove, with the result that there has been a bit of paint removal too. So, repainted cabs are in order. I also took the opportunity to strip them into component parts. First up a Dapol 08, and Heljan BG coach. Both in the initial stages, next it's adding more dirt/texture and various varnish finishes.
