blueeighties
Fully reworked, repainted, weathered, sound and light fitted Heljan class 37. What a beast I still have a few little weathering enhancements to add to finish off, bit of silvering to the footsteps, fuel tank staining, the edge of the nose end doors above the yellow nose to touch in, but the sun is out so I thought it a good time to photograph! Yes, it's good to be very busy, but the only flipside is absolutely no available time for personal projects. Maybe when I retire!!
RMweb Gold uk_pm Posted April 21, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 21, 2017 Hi Lee. Fantastic work. In post 2231 there is a pic of a dismantled Heljan blue 37, together with a rather chunky looking speaker. Can you tell me about the speaker, please. blueeighties
More lovely BR blue...this time a quartet of reworked Heljan duffs. Lots of Shawplan bits, some with new boiler ports/plates. Only thing I haven't added for the pictures are the screw couplings as I still have to blacken them. 040 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 034 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 032 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 029 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 024 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 019 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 018 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 013 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 009 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 008 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 002 by rothburyuk, on Flickr

blueeighties
I do like my 56s. One of my favourites, 127, a grubby large logo GD machine. Fittred with Legomans latest, Shawplan detailing, and new better coloured lighting. 127 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 1273 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 1274 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 1275 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Earlier Romanian version. No bufferbeam detailing as requested by the customer. 0131 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 0133 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Blyth Power which is undergoing re-working 0762 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 076 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Another one of my GD favourites, 40057. Not happy with the coolant staining from the roof fan, I'll re-work that. Never really noticed before, but I think I will replace those rather chunky buffer heads too. 057 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 0572 by rothburyuk, on Flickr I have made a start on 27050. Missed some nose end alterations that need doing, so this will be a full strip and repaint. Bogie spring mods. 0503 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 050 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 0501 by rothburyuk, on Flickr Debating what to so with these 2. 379 by rothburyuk, on Flickr 47299. Recently took this in with a job lot of Heljan duffs. I presume it was undergoing conversion to another loco, as the cab cutaways has been filled in. I now need to reverse these mods, as as far as I know, 299 was the only 47 with the combo of cutaway cab bottom edges, and flush markers at both ends. 299 by rothburyuk, on Flickr
